Staff Engineer jobs

At Expoint, we are looking for a talented staff engineer with a wealth of technical knowledge. In this role, you will be responsible for developing products and applications to further business objectives. You’ll need to be able to create creative technical solutions that are cost-effective and efficient. You will be expected to identify areas of improvement while evaluating existing products, as well as continuously explore any relevant new technologies that could benefit the company. You will also serve as a leader and mentor to other engineers, ensuring that all team members are up to date on best practices within engineering and that all designs, specifications, drawings, and programs adhere to our internal and external standards. You must possess strong organization and communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with all project stakeholders, from senior management to team members. A high level of comfort with problem-solving and working with unstructured, ambiguous issues is essential. Qualifications for this role include a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field and five+ years of software engineering experience. Expert-level knowledge of developing database systems and web and mobile applications is a huge plus. Experience working with agile software development teams is highly desirable.
