The Senior Systems Administrator role at Expoint is a crucial and rewarding position that demands organization, multitasking, communication and problem-solving skills. In this position you will provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancement of systems and associated software solutions. This includes supporting enterprise applications, system software, and hardware to ensure the successful execution of organizational objectives. The Senior Systems Administrator is expected to consistently monitor and maintain a secure environment across all systems, recommend system performance and security enhancements, track and troubleshoot application issues and implement solutions for their resolution.
You will be responsible for creating and enforcing operating standards, as well as developing, testing, maintaining and monitoring systems for accuracy and accessibility. Performing regular system backups and restores is also a part of the job. You may also monitor system performance, analyze diagnostic and audit log files, and provide problem resolution related to hardware and software issues. On some occasions, you will be required to assist in the development of system security plans, assess risks, install patches, and configure systems and networks.
Educational, experience and technical qualifications are essential for success in the Senior Systems Administrator role. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is generally required. Knowledgeable in operating systems, cloud computing, and different programming languages such as Java, C/C++ and Python is a must. At least 5 years of relevant experience in systems integration, systems and security administration, and analytics is also essential.
