As a quality control inspector in the tech industry, you are responsible for ensuring that all manufactured goods meet the standards established by the company and industry criteria for quality and safety. You work as a part of the quality team to determine the acceptability of products according to compliance with relevant standards, as defined by the requirements of the customer or the applicable industry regulations.
As a quality control inspector, you will be tasked with assessing samples to determine conformance to specified requirements. This includes evaluating products and materials for traces of defects or irregularities. You will be performing physical, visual, and mechanical inspections using gages, calipers, and X-ray machines. You will evaluate the performance of products, identify non-conformances, and resolve product issues. You will also be required to document any results, measurements, and other required information, as well as to input the information into the company's Qualisys computer system.
In your day to day role, you will be reviewing specifications, Process Control Plans and production notes to ensure that the product is built in accordance with customer requirements. You will also be tasked with maintaining a record of inspection results and filing any non-conformance reviews.
