About the role:

As a Manufacturing Technician III, you are responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations in daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety. Daily tasks include responding to equipment downtimes issues on the production floor, performing routine preventative maintenance on production equipment, and supporting Manufacturing Engineers (ME) in value improvement projects. Most of your time is spent on the production floor, working on equipment, and engaging with our Medical Device Specialists (i.e. MDS operators).

With General Supervision, you will work on 3rd shift as part of a technician team in the Nitinol Shape Memory (NSM) business unit. NSM 3rd shift runs Sunday-Thursday from 9:30pm to 5:30am.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Apply advanced mechanical, electrical, control, and pneumatic expertise to diagnose and resolve complex issues on automated production equipment.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for process, material, or equipment failures to minimize downtime and ensure sustained performance.
  • Drive implementation of robust corrective actions for recurring or high-impact manufacturing issues.
  • Perform and oversee equipment setup, calibration, and both preventive and corrective maintenance with minimal supervision.
  • Lead equipment startups and shutdowns, ensuring safe-state transitions and readiness for production continuity.
  • Install, validate, and optimize equipment and processes to enhance yield, reduce cycle time, and support scalability.
  • Design, modify, and validate tooling and fixtures to support evolving production needs.
  • Assess, recommend, and procure equipment, tools, and fixtures aligned with long-term operational goals.
  • Uphold quality standards and proactively communicate risks or deviations to cross-functional teams.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to identify waste, streamline workflows, and improve overall efficiency.
