Job Title: Backend Engineer – Service Delivery Senior Analyst

As an FSO Technology Analyst, you’ll be based in our Service Delivery Center, which is made up of high-performing US-based colleagues who work closely with our experienced advisory professionals. We deliver Technology project-based work and managed services to our clients. Here, you’ll work as part of a project team and will be responsible for the design, build/configuration, testing, analysis, delivery and support of Technology solutions. This position is fast-paced and ever-changing, which means you’ll need to be a flexible self-starter and be able to manage changing priorities and learning new and rapidly changing technology solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

The goal is to support our clients to transform their business problems through engineering solutions. You will assist engagement teams through the analysis of specific business requirements, design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy distributed software applications. You will deliver high qualify systems with focus on reliability and excellent customer experience.You will demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.

Skills and attributes for success

• Prior fullstack software product development experience with a preferred understanding of DevOps and its supporting services and tools

• Deliver engineering solutions through all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements definition, engineering design, development, integration, and testing; based on a proven agile methodology.
• Demonstrate hands-on technical capabilities inmultiple programming languages.
• Effectively work with client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds fostering an innovative and inclusive work environment.
• Demonstrate understanding of current technology environment and industry trends and provide recommendations for engagement and client service issues.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in technology software development
• Back-end experience using modern technologies like Java, Python, Node.js, REST, NoSQL, Microservices, Serverless, and Cloud technologies like AWS, or Azure
• Front-end development with modern frameworks and practices like React, Angular, or Responsive web design
• Experience in designing, building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience building applications/platforms with cloud native/Microservices architecture. Includes experience with IaaS, PaaS, container deployment.
• Experience with modern collaborative development tools (e.g. Git, CI/CD pipelines)
• Experience working with testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing and knowledge of TDD or BDD software development techniques
• Comfortable working in an Agile and TDD environment

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Undergraduate or master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. engineering, computer science, business, economics, finance, statistics, and/or analytics)
• Around 6 or more years of related work experience in banking, capital markets, insurance or asset management space

AI Specific

• Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into value-add analytics and insights solutions.
• Practical experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams through a product life cycle – requirements, design, development, and testing.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade ML and DL models, machine learning workflows, and pipelines. Demonstrated exploration of new techniques outside of day-to-day job duties.
• Proficiency in Generative AI techniques, including GANs (Generative Adversarial Networks), VAEs (Variational Autoencoders), and transformers. Experience with working open-source and commercial LLMs
• Helping clients make data-driven decisions by working with structured and unstructured data sets, building out predictive models, and advising our clients on leading practices.
• Building and applying data analysis algorithms (data mining, statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, RNNs, CNNs, etc.) as appropriate.
• Designing, architecting, and developing solutions leveraging big data technology (Hadoop, Cassandra, Spark, Neo4j) to ingest, process, and analyze large, disparate data sets to exceed business requirements.
• Leveraging in-house data platforms as needed and recommending and building new data platforms/solutions as required to exceed business requirements.
• A thorough understanding of the Python programming language and associated machine learning libraries/packages (sklearn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, statsmodels, etc.).
• Experience in multiple tools/language/frameworks within the Big Data & cloud ecosystem (Hadoop, MongoDB, Neo4j, Spark, Hive, HBase, Cassandra, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience of managing and mentoring teams of data scientists, ML engineers, and data engineers on the execution of specific business use cases for AI/ML.
• Strong machine learning and data structure design, development, application of advanced analytical and statistical methods, and architecture experience.
• Ability to quantify improvement in business areas resulting from optimization techniques through the use of business analytics and/or statistical modeling.
• Collaborate with our data scientists to map data fields to hypotheses and curate, wrangle, and prepare data for use in their advanced analytical models.

Additional Requirements:

• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for deploying and managing ML and AI solutions.
• Strong deep learning experience, particularly in applications of Neural Network architectures to Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Intelligence, and/or Reinforcement Learning.
• Expertise in designing and deploying cloud-native architectures and solutions that leverage serverless computing, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices.
• Experience in integrating AI/ML solutions within cloud environments to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Familiarity with cloud-based machine learning services like AWS SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, Google AI Platform, Azure Machine Learning & Azure AI Studio
• Knowledge of MLOps practices for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) of machine learning models in a cloud environment.
• Understanding of data security and privacy best practices in cloud environments, including compliance
• Practical experience in developing and deploying Generative AI applications for various use cases such as text generation, image synthesis, and creative AI.

Work as part of the Business Applications Team (Microsoft Dynamics & Power Platform) delivering project based work and managed services to our clients. You will work as part of a project team and will be responsible for various activities, including but not limited to design, build/configuration, testing, analysis, delivery and support of Dynamics & Power Platform solutions. Essential Functions of the Job:

• Assist in the design, development, and testing of Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power Platform solutions and their deployment.

• Develop and enhance Plug-ins to extend the functionality of Dynamics 365 applications.

• Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices in software development

• Work on configurations such as creating entities, forms, workflows, business rules, dashboards and reports.

• Create, Update and maintain Model Driven Apps, Canvas App, Power Automate flows and Power Pages.

• Conduct unit tests and analyze results to confirm that developed code meets requirements

• Develop specifications and design documents Based upon client requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Based on the created specifications and design documents create use cases and business process flows

• Document completed configuration following agile build

• Lead teams according to the assigned development feature

• Provide feedback to team members on the requirement specifications and design documents

• Review configurations and builds for completeness and accuracy to design

• Capture and review mapping documents related to data integration and migration efforts

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• Stay abreast of current business, technology and industry trends relevant to the client's business process management needs

• Experience in software configuration, development, workflow and process design, analysis and quality assurance

• Understanding of release management processes and experience with DevOps pipelines.

• Knowledge of C#, .NET and JavaScript for customizing Dynamics 365 Forms and extending functionality.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform or CRM solutions and cloud-based technologies (Azure).

• Familiarity with CSS to create and enhance custom user interfaces and improve the user experience.

• Analytical thinking and aptitude to learn and adapt latest technologies and best industry standards and practices

• Experience with implementing technology solutions using Agile and Waterfall methodologies

• Experience with analyzing and solving problems of a complex nature and working with business, management and technology concepts

• Knowledge of project management, teaming, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills a plus

• Experience working in a shared services function and environment a plus

Supervision Responsibilities:

• Senior Analysts are designated to be a Counselor for three to five Staff/Analyst level employees within three years of entering the Senior Analyst rank. The Counselor role is responsible for managing an employee’s career development, skills development and performance management.
