As a Controls Engineer with Expoint, you will be the design and the technology expert in developing controls packages, troubleshooting systems, and overseeing and maintaining projects. You will work with several teams to develop, test, troubleshoot, and document instrumentation and control systems. Your responsibilities include designing systems from initial conception to implementation, developing and calibrating systems, developing test and troubleshooting systems, and developing and designing more efficient instrumentation and control systems.
You will work closely with Project Managers and Cross-Discipline Engineers to ensure that the systems design meets customer requirements. You will be responsible for developing and making necessary corrective modifications to the control systems, if needed. This encompasses a variety of tasks including design, fabrication, quality checks, and installation. You will engage with customers, gaining an understanding of how an instrumented and controlled system works and how best to articulate the engineering design.
As an expert in engineering, you should have a good understanding of electronics, mechanics, automation and PLC's. You should have an eye for detail and a knack for solving complex problems. You will be responsible for the overall engineering quality, safety and efficiency of the system design.
You must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Finally, you must also be able to explain complex mathematical and technical concepts in a way that is understandable to a wider nontechnical audience. With your knowledge and expertise, you will be the person responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the instrumented and controlled system for Expoint.
