As a personal banker, you will be responsible for creating and managing client’s financial accounts and helping them achieve their financial goals. You’ll need to be have excellent customer service and communication skills to provide clients with personalized solutions and advice to enhance their financial health and success. You will be trusted to implement financial decisions within a limited framework and be able to find creative solutions that meet your clients’ needs. You will be required to build strong relationships with clients, identify and analyze their financial needs and objectives, and provide appropriate solutions. Your job as a personal banker also includes processing loan and deposit transactions, maintaining accurate records of transactions and account balances, and encouraging clients to deposit funds and apply for loans. You will also be responsible for promoting the bank’s products and services and helping customers open new accounts. In terms of compliance, you’ll need to remain up to date with banking regulations and be the point of contact when there are any issues or discrepancies.
