Description:
Perform the daily operations of the plant to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Impacts the team’s ability to achieve safety, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards. Team management of salaried employees. This does not include production supervisors who oversee hourly employees.

  • Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.

  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.

  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years production, supply chain experience or leadership or High School diploma/GED and 10 years production or supply chain experience.

  • Led teams of 10–20 personnel, fostering collaboration and achieving production and delivery targets.

  • Managed end-to-end supply chain or manufacturing projects, with the ability to identify & implement best practices along with delivering on time and within budget.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field

  • 5+ years of experience in verbal and written communication across cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.

  • MBA or Master’s degree

  • Experience withApplied project management methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to improve operational efficiency.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop and maintain weekly unit forecast to validate placement strategies to inform labor planning, and partner with warehouse teams to determine appropriate prioritization
• Manage PO allocations by FC in partnership with Buying and Vendors
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational success
• Identify process improvement opportunities for existing processes and reporting, design additional controls to solve deficiencies, and drive positive change across the organization
• Support Accounts Payable with the validation and auditing of new operational data flows
• Support the development of inventory placement models and optimizations to reduce the cost of moving our inventory throughout the network
• Trace inventory transactions across receipt, stow, outbound, and return to identify gaps, resolve issues, and implement controls to systematically correct
• Track down and identify sources of data, determine the validity of the data, and analyze the variance in the data between various systems and reports
• Provide ad-hoc analysis on revenue trends and inventory health
• Support processes for managing inventory exception paths to limit out-of-pocket inventory (i.e. unsellable inventory)
• Pull and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL, and/or other data management systems) and dive deep via research and problem-solving techniques


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
- 3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- Experience with SQL
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience through data and metrics
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Strong written and verbal communication
