In this role, you'll be responsible for the following:

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team in delivering projects that exceed client expectations while managing the budget and meeting gross margin goals.

• Identify creative and innovative solutions based on client, project, and site constraints.

• Drive growth with clients, ensuring overall satisfaction from relationship building through final project delivery.

• Lead key pursuit activities during project phases, collaborating closely with sales operations.

• Build relationships with clients through face-to-face meetings and participation in professional events.

• Coordinate internally with sales, operations, and legal teams for project delivery and contracting.

• Obtain and distill feedback to influence project strategies.

Additional responsibilities in this role will include:

• Coordinating project milestones and workload with other project managers and group leads throughout the East-Central Region

• Assisting in project pursuits to win work, coordinating with client account management leads

• Assisting in business development and proposal efforts

• Maintain and/or develop relationships with new and existing clients to determine their needs and manage expectations.

• Maintain quality of products for design projects, estimates and documentation; performs required checks throughout the process.

As a, you’ll have responsibility to plan, staff, schedule, and budget projects while ensuring quality of work product, consistency across projects, and staff safety. You will also coordinate with subcontractors and multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners, architects, scientists and subject matter experts to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions to our clients. In addition to managing the project financials, delivery, and client relationship, you will also have the opportunity to work closely with our Sales team to grow our Ports and Maritime portfolio in the region and beyond and getting engaged in the pursuit and delivery of exciting, complex waterfront projects. We’re seeking an Environmental Project Manager based in the Virginia Beach area (other possible locations: Richmond, VA, Washington, DC, and Reston, VA) to deliver environmental investigation and remediation design projects for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps through the award-winning Navy Comprehensive Long-Term Environmental Action Navy (CLEAN) Program. Jacobs has a strong track record of delivering projects for over 25 years through this program.

As an Environmental Project Manager, you’ll have responsibility to plan, staff, schedule, and budget projects while ensuring quality of work products, consistency across projects, and staff safety. You will also coordinate with subcontractors, internal support staff, and subject matter experts. You’ll use your technical skills and experience to analyze data, prepare technical reports, and design and implement pilot studies and remedial systems for sites impacted with chlorinated volatile organic compounds, petroleum-related compounds, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, munitions constituents/munitions explosive hazards, and other environmental contaminants.
