Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly, such as: cutting wire to specified size, stripping, tinning, or bending wire parts, wiring and fastening terminal connections.

  • Reading blueprints, diagrams, or established operations practices to assemble and install various electrical or electronic components.

  • Perform solder touch-up or solder of parts as a secondary operation.

  • Train other assemblers.

  • Complete other duties as assigned and possibly to other areas: Wiring, Epoxy, Final Assembly/Lensing.

  • Handle small, delicate parts with a high degree of accuracy to perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly.

  • Follow method sheets to ensure documented and controlled processes are followed to assemble various electronic components.

  • Perform a variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations by using common hand tools such as: Wire strippers, wrenches, screwdrivers, plyers and using small hand tools and soldering equipment.

  • May operate automatic and semi-automatic assembly/production equipment.

  • Organized, work independently with minimum supervision and ability to work in fast paced environments.

  • Able to sit and work under a microscope for extended periods of time.

  • Experience with hand soldering and using a microscope.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • General office/manufacturing environment.

  • Potential exposure to hazards associated with manufacturing equipment and tools.

Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience.

  • Must be able to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods of time and complete tasks using a microscope.

  • The ability to follow both verbal and written instructions along with strong communication skills in local language (English).

  • Capability to use a computer and enter accurate data. Microsoft Office experience is a plus.

  • Being flexible to changing needs of the business and department and will work overtime as needed.

  • Good manual dexterity.

  • Highly organized, self-managed individual who works independently with minimum supervision and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
