Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies by determining the relevant factors (e.g., product, competition, and pricing needs) of existing and potential accounts to effectively promote the company's products to appropriate hospital personnel and physicians.
  • Develop action plans (i.e., weekly, quarterly, monthly) by analyzing quarterly and monthly sales figures and reports identifying the needs of particular accounts and discussing issues with Regional Sales Manager to help the organization achieve its annual sales goal.
  • Determine the needs (e.g., product and pricing), goals, product usage, and types of cases handled by specific customers by meeting with and asking in-depth questions of physicians and other hospital personnel.
  • Establish pricing packages to establish price points that address specific customer's needs while satisfying company guidelines and policies.
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g. clinical research, pricing and/or marketing) to develop optimal solutions.
  • Develop relationships with hospital personnel (e.g. through casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to make new contacts in other departments within hospital and to identify key purchasing decision makers in order to facilitate future sales.
  • Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals) to secure purchasing commitments, often with the help of incentive programs and services made available to the account being developed.


Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree OR equivalent field clinical/sales experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years medical device, pharmaceutical, or related sales experience.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience selling cardiac monitoring equipment or cardiac related devices.
  • Direct selling experience to physicians and hospitals.
  • History and relationships with key players in the cardiac monitoring industry.
  • Must have a technical aptitude; be able to discuss, explain software algorithms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, requires good communication skills, both verbal and written, and able to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people (physicians, office staff, etc.).

The Hepatic Artery Infusion (HAI) Specialist will be assigned to an existing territory in which there is potential to build HAI adoption and grow the business. HAI Specialists will be held accountable to deliver exceptional service through team driven directives, revenue impact, clinical education needs, and execution of new business opportunities that reflect the franchise’s strategy and priorities. The role works collaboratively with the Area Sales Director and territory consultant to provide clinical and technical support, in-services, and drive sales revenue at identified accounts. Each HAI Specialist will report directly to an Area Sales Director. Additionally, HAI Specialists may be required to work outside their primary assignments as required by business conditions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Build strong customer relationships through routine visits, product demonstrations, educational programs, product in-services, case support, and problem resolution.
  • Serve as an HAI expert in providing clinical, product, and technical assistance and training to physicians, infusion staff, surgery, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology, and health care providers supporting hepatic artery infusion (HAI) therapy.
  • Provide case support in a dynamic environment including the OR, nuclear medicine, and infusion departments.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with HAI Consultants allowing them more selling time.
  • Take on revenue-generating projects and goals to support account ownership. Works closely with HAI Consultants and Area Sales Directors to evaluate business conditions and sales trends.
  • Assist in developing quarterly/annual business plans to achieve revenue targets.

Your role:

  • Actively participate as a member of the regional work team; work to improve team processes and identify training gaps. Seek out opportunities to increase capability and capacity (i.e. may be required to become qualified in multiple modalities, learns new tools).

  • Perform all administrative duties within established Philips, State, and Federal regulatory requirements and timeframes including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, Field Change Orders (FCO), preventative maintenance (PM), installation documents, site and service documentation, and other related paperwork. Adhere to established training, quality, and safety requirements.

  • Utilize tools, support, resources, and escalation processes within required time frames to resolve customer and system problems timely and effectively. Complete PMs, FCOs, installation and all related tasks (diagnose and resolve electronic, network, and mechanical problems).

  • Approximately 70% travel across the specified geography is required. The average driving time is 1-4 hours daily. Occasional overnight stays and travel by air and/or train may be required.

  • You’ve acquired 1+ years of experience in a diagnostic imaging (field or hospital-based) service environment or 3+ years’ in electromechanical industries. Preferred experience in Computed Tomography (CT) imaging equipment.

  • Your skills include the ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment, including knowledge and use of all necessary tools and test equipment.

  • You have an Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience;BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMETpreferred.

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

The anticipated annualized base amount for this full time position will be$, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
