WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Lead Product Testing Analyst, your focus will be on amplifying the Voice of the Athlete. From a testing perspective, you will work with NIKE’s product creation partners to test apparel and accessories; ensuring that they perform and meet the expectations of our consumer athletes across the globe.This role will both execute all existing aspects of product testing, as well as create andevolve testing practices to advance testing capabilitiesThis includes expertly planning, and executing multipart tests, recruiting, and building relationships with target athletes*, and developing strategies for broader testing programsYou will also masterfully analyze both quantitative and qualitative data while capturing athlete* feedback, to be delivered through clear and informative written reports, presented to Product Creation and Leadership teams. Additionally, you will work closely with leading your fellow testing teammates and working with your Nike Manager on internal projects, while also teaching our testing techniques and best practices that shape the testing of tomorrow.
From a strategic data analytics perspective, you will develop and implement data-driven testing strategies in pursuit of product excellence while benchmarking testing methods against industry standards and identifying areas for innovation. You will collaborate cross functionally on automation and workflow improvements while identifying solutions that increase data confidence through integration & correlation of data across testing partnerships.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will be reporting to the Director of Apparel Product Testing within the Global Apparel Standards team. You will be joining and mentoring a dynamic, energetic and tenured team of Product Analysts. You will partner with our Apparel Risk Engineering and Development teams to wear test against various apparel and accessories items and continue to establish new standards, processes and training content. You’ll provide technical input and support to the Technical Design, Development, Materials, Nike Apparel Lab and Product Management communities.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
Preferred degree in a science or apparel related field
A minimum of 6 years directly relevant work experience
Subject matter expertise in consumer product testing methodologies (clothing, equipment, accessories, food, beverage, etc)
Competent in qualitative and quantitative test design, data collection, and analysis
Knowledge of psychometrics, sensory-perception, behavioral sciences or motor learning and control is a plus
Experience with data management, structuring and integration across enterprise systems.
Understanding of predictive modeling, AI, or machine learning applications for product testing insights
Familiarity in Microsoft Office, Airtable, Qualtrics, Tableau, Python, and PLM integration is optional, but valuable
Passion for, and knowledge of, team and individual sports is a plus
Natural leader, demonstrated mentor and educator experience
Excellent communication and storytelling skills
Ability to multitask and manage a varied workload via organizational skills and proactive behaviors
Ability to build rapport, communicate, and gather information from athletes ranging from professional to recreational
Knowledge of the apparel product creation process
Excellent interpersonal skills working with teammates who share the same goals
Ability to travel up to 20% per year
