You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.You will be able to showcase your in-depth understanding of data center design, engineering, and operations of infrastructure common to data centers, telecommunications facilities and other critical environment infrastructure.Key job responsibilities
- Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region.
- Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
- Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including critical equipment, and event support.
- Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions, which add capacity, improve availability, and increase efficiency.
- Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.- Act as resident engineer during new construction projects. Support construction, commissioning, and turnover.A day in the life
Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for all aspects of the data centers. You will prioritize your activities to support data center capacity availability and safety focusing on the actions that are most impactful. You will have the opportunity to work on projects locally and globally.Colo Regional Engineers:
- Possess strong engineering judgement and are able to provide recommendations despite uncertainty.
- Are detail and data oriented.
- Manage engineering projects and consultants.
- Build trust and relationships with different stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related discipline, or 10 years commensurate industry or military experience in lieu of degree
- Cumulative 6+ years of focused experience in Data Center or Carrier-class Telecommunications design, engineering, and/or operations and maintenance (O&M) of data center critical environment infrastructure.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in engineering
• 10+ years cumulative data center design experience
• PE or EIT

DESCRIPTION

An Associate in this role is required to watch the video of the stowing action at a fulfillment center, understand it thoroughly and make best use of human judgement in combination with the tools and resources to indicate the activity captured in the video. They are expected to verify or mark the location of product through a tool while maintaining highest level of accuracy. This process helps in maintaining the fulfillment center's stow quality. This is an operational role. Under general supervision, the Associate performs precise and thorough video/image audits with high degree of accuracy and speed, thus aiding defect reduction.
Key job responsibilities
The Associate has to watch several hundred videos in a shift and provide responses by following goals on accuracy (quality), speed (productivity) and right / acceptable practices. Associates are required to take breaks at the pre-defined slots and ensure 6.8 to 7 hours’ time per day is spent to answer the videos. Associates who are hired to work from home should maintain (1) dedicated workspace i.e., table, chair & sufficient lighting (2) workspace / work related data shouldn’t be accessed by anyone other than employee
• Willingness to work in Non-tech role for contract duration of 6 months
• Ability to audit image/video/text based Jobs
• Ability to identify details from blurry, less sharp videos and provide correct response. Requires high level of attention & focus on screen
• Willingness to work on incremental targets/goals on quality & productivity
• Fast Pace of implementation & consistent performance
• Ability to work in rotational shifts (including night shifts), remote teams and exceptionally good team player
• Readiness to come to office for few days (when required, applicable for associates working from home)
• Willing to switch ON laptop camera while on virtual meetings.A day in the life
Associates work in 24x7 environment with rotational shifts. Associates would be working in a 9 hour shift, including pre-scheduled breaks. The shift timings would be subject to change every 3-4 months or as per business requirement. In case associate is working in night shift, night shift allowance will be provided as per applicable Amazon’s work policy.

- Bachelor's degree

  • Ability to work non-standard hours and work rotations/shifts.

Preferred qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience in maintenance of electrical distribution systems or construction/technical environment or a related field.
  • Experience in data centers, hospitals, or power plants.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems used in a data center environment (e.g., Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units).
  • Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, digital metering, or calibration/diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to communicate with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on the data center systems.
