The HR Assistant plays a critical role in supporting human resources functions within the production facility. This position involves a broad range of responsibilities related to recruitment, employee relations, HR compliance, and employee engagement, specifically tailored to the needs of a manufacturing environment.

This is a part-time contract role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support employees by answering questions, providing information, and addressing concerns
• Help ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws/regulations; maintain required records.
• Assist with talent acquisition and recruiting including internal systems maintenance, applicant screening, reference checking, supporting managers with interviews and candidate selection, and communicating hiring decisions.
• Support a positive company culture to support initiatives and goals related to employee engagement and satisfaction.
• Assist with new employee onboarding and training
• Collaborate, innovate, and be creative in approaching and accomplishing work.
• Back up department functions and perform other duties as necessary.
