Tax Accountant, Tax, Exceptional Delivery and Growth Engine - Financial Services Office - Wealth and Asset Management (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1641700), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Indianapolis, IN.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, Economics, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, Economics, or a related field, and 4 years of related work experience.Must have 4 years of experience in a professional services firm, or mid-sized/regional to large-sized/national public accounting firm, law firm, or company with an internal tax practice.Must have 4 years of experience with financial and tax applications, including one or a combination of the following: Go Systems, One Source TP, and/or Corp Tax.Must have 4 years of experience using Excel and Microsoft SharePoint.Must have 4 years of experience in applying accounting and finance principles and procedures to complex assignments.Must have 2 years of experience managing tax compliance engagements, including engagement-related budgeting and billing, serving as a primary point of contact for clients, and escalating issues to tax partners or executives as needed.Must have 2 years of experience reviewing financial closings and tax compliance filings prepared by junior tax staff.Requires travel up to 50% in order to serve client needs.Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.

  • Identify and complete the implementation of process improvements related to areas of responsibility

  • Assist in the monthly worldwide accounting close

  • Understand and prepare accounting manual journal entries and reconciliations for revenue, expense and other transactions as needed

  • Work with teams within the Controller’s Organization as well as cross-functionally with FP&A, Revenue Operations, Treasury, Tax, SEC Reporting, IT, Compliance, and International Accounting teams

  • Responsible for SOX compliance activities within related areas, including completing key controls, updating SOX documentation, and supporting testing efforts

  • Deliver on ad-hoc projects / deliverables as necessary.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience, in Accounting. Experience will be evaluated based on the Core Competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)

  • 4+ years of overall combined accounting experience

  • Technology industry and Big 4 experience a plus

  • Experience in SOX controldocumentation/execution

  • Demonstrated critical thinking capability

  • Derive and maintain relevant reporting of financial data analytics, including key financial metrics for management reporting

  • Participate on internal process improvement initiatives to improve reporting, analytical tools, and technical aspects of accounting procedures and practices

  • Identify and complete the implementation of process improvements related to areas of responsibility

  • Collaborate on the preparation of monthly financial packages for senior management

  • Ensure timely completion and review of all closing activities in related areas

  • Responsible for SOX compliance activities within related areas, including completing key controls, updating SOX documentation, and supporting testing efforts

  • Assist in quarterly reviews and annual audit with the external auditors

  • Prepare supporting schedules for the 10Q and 10K reports along with supporting the SEC team on reviewing the reporting packages

Experience/Skills Required:
