Basic Qualifications

- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients

In this role, you’ll work directly with a variety of interesting customers and help them make the best (and sometimes the most pragmatic) technical decisions along the way. You’ll have a chance to build enduring relationships with these companies and establish yourself as a trusted advisor.As a member of the AWS Startups team, you will work directly with customers to help them successfully leverage AWS technology at scale.As well as spending time working directly with customers, you’ll also get plenty of time to learn new technologies and keep your skills fresh. We have 200+ services across a range of different categories and it’s important that we can help startups take advantages of the right ones. You’ll also play an important role as an advocate with our product teams to make sure we are building the right products and features for the startups you work with.   • Extensive knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP , BGP , OSPF, EIGRP , LISP) and network segmentation technologies (e.g., VRF, MPLS, ZeroTrust, SDA, 802.1x, SGT, Adaptive Policy)
  • Pre-sales technical experience supporting enterprise customers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 35% as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable with audiences of all sizes
  • Familiarity with competitive networking products (e.g., HPE/Aruba, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet)
  • Cisco and non-Cisco certifications (e.g., CCIE, CCDE, DevNet, AWS, Google, Terraform)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience configuring and managing Cisco Nexus switches or Cisco devices OR minimum of 5 years of experience configuring and managing networking infrastructure from another major vendor
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Linux
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience securing operating system (OS) instances, applications, and/ordistributed systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of standard methodologies for operating systems security and their application in cloud-native technologies and environments
  • Evidence of direct experience using network troubleshooting tools, including but not limited to packet capture and analysis utilities
  • Proven familiarity with tools and technologies for automating repetitive tasks
  • Experience with designing and implementing security solutions across multiple platforms
  • A solid understanding of the pillars of observability
  • Prior experience working with and supporting open source software (OSS)
  • Ability to provide well-structured reasoning and insights about various cloud-native technologies and security frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to make informed recommendations based on technical and business needs
  • Possessing CCNP Data Center, CCNP Enterprise, DevNet Professional, CCIE Data Center, CCIE Enterprise, or DevNet Expert certifications will be a key advantage.
