Provides input into strategic decisions, exercising sound legal judgement to develop proactive, risk-appropriate, and commercially practical business-oriented solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for providing legal counsel to theBusiness,participating in strategic initiatives, providing subject matter expertise and interpretations of relevant laws, rules, regulations, and industry practices, and advising business management on legal matters impacting the business
  • Partners with legal peers to objectively evaluate business proposals by applying institutional knowledge and risk appetite against industry standards, widely accepted business practices, laws, rules, and regulatory guidelines, escalating as appropriate
  • Collaborates across internal lines of business, control/support functions and/or external counsel to achieve coordinated and efficient outcomes on matters of common interest; coordinate closely with the Legal team on a regional and global basis
  • Proactively identifies, evaluates, and contributes to the appropriate management of legal, regulatory, and reputational risk by collaborating with ICRM & Risk, following relevant legal developments, participating in internal projects, escalating as appropriate
  • Manages day-to-day legal activities as a subject matter expert in area of responsibility and provide advisory services to businesspartners

Qualifications:

The Master and Reference Data Strategy Sr Analyst will partner with lines of business and global functions to support the identification, collection, and remediation of Data Quality issues and concerns, while executing the Master Reference Data adoption strategy across all Reference data domains. This position requires an understanding of enterprise data capabilities as well as their practical application across functions in a large financial services organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and examine current and future state Reference Data process and architectures with an eye towards continuous improvement
  • Engage with other Citi operations, technology and compliance to identify and maintain appropriate alignment, specifically with Citi Data Standards
  • Analyze Data models to identify patterns and inconsistencies in across sources and targets, and document findings
  • Participate in data cleanup efforts and status tracking of how data is captured, stored and consumed
  • Assist with BAU data management processes across data lifecycle (i.e., documentation, testing validation, maintenance and change efforts)

  • Implement relevant processes to govern domain level and data lifecycle capabilities to ensure all relevant governance forums and working groups are functioning efficiently
  • Create front-to-back business requirements by leveraging deep understanding of MRD business process flow and procedures
  • Define and implement Master and Reference data governance and operations processes, framework components
  • Ensure frequent, reliable, and relevant communication and documentation to a varied group of stakeholders
  • Facilitate day to day activities to drive key program/project deliverables and interdependencies to ensure execution
  • Support adoption of standards and capabilities so that they are consistent, enterprise-wide
  • Partner with functions and businesses to ensure governance objectives, framework and processes are understood and aligned, and meet the needs and regulatory requirements
