Sr. Manager, Site Operations

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Sr. Manager, Site Operations, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading a talented team of Sr. Supervisors, Supervisors, and Operators in a Consumer Business, focused on delivering results.
  • Championing a strong culture that delivers high EHS/ESG performance in the plant and is consistently demonstrated as the first priority.
  • Ensuring systemic controls exist to manage risk and compliance for their people Legal and Regulatory requirements, 3M Code of Ethics, 3M Standards, QMS, SOX compliance.
  • Driving sustainable improvements in plant COGS performance through application of Lean & Six Sigma on yield & productivity improvements.
  • Driving operator engagement by ensuring alignment, diversity and inclusion, InsideOut Coaching, encourages problem solving and recognition of performance.
  • Lead talent review activities that build capabilities, align resources with the long-term priorities and set people up for success.
  • Cooperating with the Site manager and POL for operations and with the site Plant LVSs to understand strategy and being responsible to execute actions from VSIP in reference to OEE, PPU and COPQ.
  • Prioritizing coaching and leading systemic operational maturity improvement, e.g. productivity and quality. Coordinates operating activities so that products are manufactured on schedule, within quality standards, and meeting cost including related warehouse and logistics according to objectives as directed by customer-focused value stream feedback
  • Continuously enforcing and improving daily tier processes, daily accountability boards, standard work, visual controls, material flow and coaching. Encourages plantwide participation in continuous improvement suggestion activities. Actively participates in relevant corporate lean programs/initiatives.
  • Implementing technology such as data automation, digital tier, Duzuki and new process to improve operational efficiency

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a leadership and/or supervisory role in a private, public, government or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Understanding and experience leading Shingo principles and/or principle-based leadership.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Certified Lean leader with experience implementing Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead attainment of aggressive objectives for EHS, Quality, Service and Cost.
  • Experience supporting multiple divisions and commodity groups.
  • Diverse Manufacturing Experience (Technologies, markets Served, Divisions, etc).

Supply Chain Planner

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Supply Chain Planner , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Manages supply chain product flow to support customer requirements.

  • Schedules procurement and manufacturing for a specified group of products.

  • Reviews material flow parameters such as order quantity, lot size, make cycle frequency, replenishment interval, and recommends appropriate levels to support the business/customer requirements.

  • Manages raw material and semi-finished inventory buffer quantities.

  • Monitors and reports capacity requirements, special order and stock service levels.

  • Continuously works to improve the planning and scheduling process.

  • Identifies ways to improve customer service, inventory investment, and supply chain efficiency to achieve measurable results; participates in implementation.

  • Supervisor provides guidance and is consulted for assistance in problem areas and major changes to supply chain parameters.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, production operations management, materials management, or engineering (completed and verified prior to start)

OR

  • High School diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and Four (4) years of experience in a manufacturing or a supply chain role in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Knowledge and application of supply chain methodology such as synchronous/constraint management, Six Sigma, process re-
    engineering and technical tools such as spreadsheets and modeling software is required.

  • Demonstrates computer literacy, and good working knowledge of applicable software and plant systems.

  • Communication, planning/coordinating and administrative skills are
    also required.

  • Ability to work across functions within a team setting is required. Demonstrates general knowledge of product
    performance and customer requirements.
