What will you do

  • To supervise all Accounting and Tax processes (Global & Local) and implement Group Financial manual for the entity.
  • Report results, internal control issues (ICS) and Financing requirements to the Director, Accounting & Tax SEE and support commercial teams on business drive and analysis.
  • Deliver to SEE and EU management appropriate financial information and business support to take decisions
  • Manage the cash flow and working capital of the subsidiary following policies described by Group Treasury.
  • Control and secure following the local legislation on statutory accounts, company fillings and any form of taxes on due dates and in compliance with legal framework of Romania.
  • Supervision and control of adidas Share services centers teams involved in financial postings for the entity and secure the proper postings are done as per IFRS and legal GAAP.
  • Provide support for SEE Finance teams, Group Accounting and Group Tax function
  • Leadership of Finance Team in Romania by managing all direct reports as an integrated team by setting team/individual objectives, targets and guidelines and develop and coach them.
  • Lead statutory audit and support Group Taxes, external advisors and GBS taxes for any tax audit

Skills you will need

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior executives, stakeholders and cross-functional business leaders
  • Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, and determine and implement effective action plans
  • Desire and ability to work closely and collaboratively with other members of senior Finance leadership team at Market and Global level
  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize the most complex data and develop innovative solutions within an entrepreneurial environment and collaborate closely with internal and external clients for problem solving and adapting to changes.
  • Excellent analytical, written, oral, organizational, and presentation skills to influence company leadership and decisions at all levels
  • Advanced degree or qualification in Finance, Economics or Accounting (e.g. MBA or CPA)
  • Solid accounting skills and experience
  • Advanced excel skills required

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law or a related field and 2 years of work experience in Tax and/or Financial Planning. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law or related field and 1 year of work experience in Tax and/or Financial Planning.Must have 1 year of experience in a professional services firm, or mid-sized/regional to large sized/national public accounting firm.

Must have 1 year of experience in 3 or more of the following: federal and state personal and trust taxation; flow through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships and LLCs); C-Corps including income tax provisions and consolidated federal and state tax returns; and/or high net-worth tax planning.

Must have 1 year of experience in conducting tax law research.

Must have 1 year of experience in one of the following automated tax processing systems: GoSystems, CS Planner, Excel, and/or Checkpoint SurePrep.

Must have 1 year of experience delegating work to junior tax professionals and reviewing their drafts.

Ideally, you’ll also have
