- Investigate failures/defects in production, test, and integration. Identify and mitigate underlying root causes to prevent reoccurrence as part of continuous improvement efforts.
- Identify opportunities for risk reduction and simplification of PCBA manufacturing processes.
- Deliver manufacturing processes capabilities including equipment capability, quality controls, materials characterization, and standardized rework practices.
- Actively monitor the success of products and processes through production ramp. Provide regular status reports of PCBAs progress from design to production.
- Deploy and qualify polymerics (staking, underfill, and conformal coat) equipment for high volume production.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing/Mechanical/Aerospace/Industrial/Electrical) or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in PCBA/PCB production/processes and manufacturing engineering.
- Experience in board assembly processes and equipment: Stencil, paste print, SPI, pick & place, SMT reflow, AOI, 5DX, selective solder, flying probe, and wash.
- Experience leading DFX reviews for manufacturability, testability, quality, and reliability.
- Experience working independently and ensuring timely and accurate communication with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and 3rd party test and failure analysis partners.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, enthusiasm for the team’s spirit of innovation and mission of improving manufacturability, quality, and reliability in cutting-edge technology.
- Strong writing skills.
- Master’s Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing/Mechanical/Aerospace/Industrial/Electrical) or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

- 3+ years’ experience with industry standard PLM and DFX systems, Mentor/Valor preferred.

- Experience with IPC-A-610H Class 3, IPC J-STD-001H compliance
- Experience in Polymeric application, including conformal coating, staking and underfill.
- Experience in solder alloys including leaded and lead free as well as next gen low temp alloys.
- Experience with flying probe test systems and DFT
- Knowledge of quality tools such as Lean principles, Six Sigma, root cause analysis and corrective action, advanced product quality planning (APQP), metrology, process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), control plans, and various problem-solving approaches.

The Role:
In this role you will:
· Implement a state of the art verification environment to facilitate testing of the RTL against reference Matlab/C models
· Develop detailed test plans and write tests, run regressions, collect coverage matrices and report progress to the program
· Write tests in C/C++ to execute on embedded CPU
· Develop tests for FPGA and emulation platforms
· Run formal verification of complex blocks to ensure functional correctness
· Work with the design and communication systems team and participate in system level verification using test benches constructed using UVM, System C and DPI-C

Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. PCBA Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will be responsible for deployment, qualification, continuous improvement of test systems, processes, and procedures at CM (Contract Manufacturing) sites for Satellite PCBAs. You will be a key member of PCBA Manufacturing team and will be the main interface between Kuiper’s internal test development teams and our manufacturing partners. You will ensure successful test deployment by documenting procedures, training CM personnel, and providing ongoing support. You will have excellent debugging skill with the ability to dive deep and determine the root-cause of a test failure.Key job responsibilities• Develop test strategies, implement and optimize test setup/processes at Contract Manufacturing sites including identification, specification, design and qualification of test fixtures, test equipment, and maintenance programs.
