As the VP Product, Admin & Customer Trust for Slack, you'll drive innovation in administrative tooling and champion a security-first mindset for Slack, all while leading a high-performing team. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute a holistic strategy that ensures Slack is secure, manageable, and compliant with the highest standards of trust for our enterprisecustomers.

Product Leadership & Development:

  • Partner with engineering, design, and other product teams to define and lead the product strategy for Admin, Privacy, Integrity, and Compliance features across the platform. Drive development of features such as Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), audit logs, SSO/SAML/SCIM integrations, and comprehensive compliance tooling (e.g., Data Loss Prevention (DLP), eDiscovery, GDPR, SOC2), as well as organizational settings.

  • Own customer and stakeholder engagement for admin functionality, translating complex IT requirements into elegant, usable product experiences.

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Design to ship scalable, performant, and delightful features with robust security controls.

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to support Go-To-Market (GTM) efforts and ensure strong feature adoption andretention.

  • Define and monitor success metrics and product KPIs tied to enterprise adoption, security posture, and administrative efficiency.

Strategic Vision & Influence for Slack Security:

  • Collaborate with the Salesforce Trust organization and key stakeholders to define and articulate the overarching product security strategy and long-term vision, anticipating future threats across a global landscape. This includes proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating systemic security risks across our products and infrastructure, and championing a security-first mindset.

  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to align the security strategy with business objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor and principal thought leader on all security, administration, privacy, integrity, and compliance matters to executive leadership, product heads, engineering VPs, and the board.

  • Influence product roadmaps and architectural decisions to embed security and privacy by design from the earliest stages of ideation.

  • Collaborate to anticipate and respond to changing administrative and compliance needs in an AI-first environment.

Executive Communications & Stakeholder Alignment:

  • Develop and deliver clear, concise, and impactful communications on security posture, evolving risks, and incident responses to executive leadership, board members, and, when necessary, external stakeholders.

  • Forge strong, collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization, effectively translating complex security and administrative concepts into understandable terms for diverse, non-technical audiences.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment on security and administrative priorities, ensuring buy-in and accountability for key initiatives across product and engineering teams.

  • Incident Response Leadership & Crisis Management:

    • Act as a voice to the customer in critical security incident response efforts, ensuring rapid detection, containment, eradication, and recovery from high-severity security events.

    • Act as a key partner and collaborator with relevant internal organizations (e.g., Salesforce Trust) during active crises, demonstrating composure, decisiveness, and strategic thinking under extreme pressure.

    • Participate in rigorous post-incident analysis to identify root causes and partner to implement robust corrective actions

    • Collaborate on the development of crisis communication plans related to security incidents, preparing the organization for rapid, transparent, and accurate public messaging.

Requirements:
  • Product Leadership:

    • 12+ years of product management experience, with 4+ years in a leadership role

    • Deep expertise in enterprise SaaS—especially in admin tooling, identity management, or security products

    • Proven ability to build enterprise-ready features without sacrificing usability

    • Strong technical aptitude; comfortable engaging with engineering on architecture, APIs, and platform implications

    • Experience working with InfoSec, Legal, and IT stakeholders at Fortune 500 companies

    • Exceptional communication and influencing skills; able to represent the voice of the customer internally and externally

    • Passion for creating elegant, consumer-grade experiences even in complex domains

    • Experience building and leading high-performing PM teams

  • Customer Trust & Security Engagement

    • Demonstrated expertise in leading and navigating complex security incident response efforts, including direct engagement with executive leadership, legal counsel, and external parties during high-stakes situations.

    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with an innate ability to articulate complex security concepts and strategic imperatives to diverse audiences, from engineers to board members and the public.
