What a typical day looks like:

  • Guide and direct sourcing teams in identifying, communicating and implementing sourcing strategies and supply chain management best practice.

  • Plan and implement activities related to the timely and cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.

  • Work closely with sub-ordinates to ensure global strategies and policies are effectively developed, communicated and implemented driving best practices

  • Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, material control systems and metrics to reduce costs, streamline procedures and implement solutions.

  • Establish successful relationships with suppliers on a country, regional or global basis to ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels.

  • Work with the Global Commodity management and strategic supply chain management teams on sourcing strategies including supplier selection, risk research and capacity management.

  • Coordinate with Finance on matters involving inventory carrying costs and review and plan requirements for acceptable inventory.

  • Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

  • Regularly interact with executives and major clients which may result in influencing and/or persuading customer negotiations.

  • Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.

  • 12 years’ experience in material management

  • Advance experience in planning and manufacturing, including supervision.

  • Knowledge in production, warehouse, purchasing and planning control.

  • Establish and communicate Business Unit goals and assignments.

  • Define and execute operational programs in line with strategic plans and annual operating goals.

  • Meet with Executive Business at least monthly to review and evaluate KOI's.

  • Attend quarterly business reviews with key customers.

  • Partner with other business to establish strategic plans and goals.

  • Direct and control the activities on purchasing business, production control, planning, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, maintenance, manufacturing and logistics.

  • Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce

The experience we’re looking to add to our team,

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.

  • +8 years of management experience.

  • High-volume assembly manufacturer

  • Lead the resource allocation and planning for NPI execution per the division product roadmap. Define and drive execution of NPI work. Define scope of service requirements.

  • Establish infrastructure, support plans, resources, and processes to lead the transition of PLC 6b install base into PLC 7 sustaining support.

  • Top Service owner for a KLA product line, representing the service function on the staff of divisional GM.

  • Play key role in the serviceability, design development, launch, and ramp of new products, to ensure Service is “ready to serve” and customer support needs are met; significantly impacting KLA Services business opportunities.

  • Support the team to ensure the product meets performance in the following areas: MTBI, MTBF, cost of service, availability, measurement sensitivity and stability.

  • Address the needs of released products: This includes defining CIP programs to achieve the improvements and execution of product design & performance, KLA Services Certification strategies, documentation.

  • Ensure tool serviceability, and performance continue to meet customer expectations in areas such as uptime, Cost of Ownership, performance, and matching throughout the product life cycle.

  • Ability or capability to influence and drive continuous improvement improve products, people, and processes.

  • Financial Metrics & BSC Initiatives : Accountable for financial KPIs (ASP, Market Share, Gross Margin and contract penetration) in the region. Report the KPIs in the BD monthly business review. Understand the KPI drivers (positive or negative). Develop plans to improve the KPIs in alignment with the business goals and consistent with annual BSC growth targets. As a result of strategic planning initiatives, this individual can take a concept or idea from strategic planning environmental issues and creating a strategic initiative around it. This includes developing a plan or record, aligned across multiple functions. The individual may be required to justify investment and ROI. The initiative may then need to be budgeted, and a scoring mechanism defined to track progress to plan including reporting of BSC progress and justifies scoring to HQ Exec team

  • Strategic Planning: Independently drives strategic planning activity, phases 1/2/3. Develop HQ PPT material. Present strategic plan to executives beyond KLAS

  • Accountability to KLA Enterprise & Operating Model : Ability to manage KLAS business through the adoption of the existing operating models like the contract renewal process. This individual must have the ability to define new operating models with their regional BD counterparts in other regions and then drive adoption of those operating models in the organization.

  • Business Acumen : Demonstrates strong business acumen; ability to assess short term and long-term impact, anticipating future challenges and avoiding unintended consequences.

  • Cross Collaboration : Ability to motivate and drive action across teams, BUs, or Divisions. Should have influence and respect of divisional management throughout the KLA Enterprise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree with 15 years of experience in Semiconductor capital equipment systems or service sales. Knowledge of KLA inspection and metrology equipment or broader market OEM knowledge such as process tools used in the manufacturing of semiconductors.

  • Experience managing large commercial engagements with a strong track record of closing. Ability to manage a team of individuals both domestic and internationally.

  • Expert at building effective working relationships with key customers at VP levels and above.

  • Adept at leveraging existing internal processes and the ability to develop / create new processes is a must in order to enable scale in the organization.

  • Ability to speak a 2nd language, specifically Japanese, would be considered an additional bonus.

  • Come up with innovative application use-case ideas and find continuous improvements in production mask-making and reticle requal flows
  • Leverage advanced image processing, optical and lithography modeling, and numerical and AI methods to come up with unique and advanced software offerings in the mask defect disposition space
  • Develop and socialize clear requirements for new use-cases, and brainstorm on possible technology approaches with algo, software and expert application engineers
  • Build strong positive relationships and credibility with internal engineering teams, key customers and field teams leveraging their strengths and support to deliver on software solutions
  • Drive key projects and customer engagements through weekly progress meetings
  • Work harmoniously across functional and division teams
  • Prepare and deliver periodic program updates and clearly communicate progress, issues, help needed and plans with senior management
  • Travel up to 25-50% to better sync with customers, development engineering and field and account teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track-record working with customers in semiconductor industry, committing and delivering on software solutions to improve mask or wafer yield and turn-around-time
  • Strong team player, able to lead and influence teams. Experience managing development teams of 10+ engineers
