MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Law, Management, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Law, Management, or related field and 4 years of work experience.

Must have 2 years of recent experience in one of the following:

- Providing financial accounting and advisory services to clients, including implementing accounting standards, finance function transformation, quarterly reporting, and due diligence; OR

You will be a key member of the development team and will be the main interface with the internal Operations team as well as our Contract Manufacturers (CM). In this role, you will:* Define test strategy, implement and optimize test setup/processes at the CM including design and qualification of test fixtures, test equipment, and test software
* Investigate and introduce new manufacturing test technology and methodology to enhance production efficiency
* Review datasheets, schematics, block diagrams and provide feedback on best design practices
* Drive test requirements, specifications, and limits with the hardware development team
* Work concurrently with the design engineers to provide design for testability (DFT) feedback throughout the design process
* Investigate and troubleshoot yield issues during prototype and production builds
* Review hardware designs to define test coverage to ensure products are built free of manufacturing defects
* Deploy and provide training
* Develop test station procedures, preventative maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides to support production

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing/operations of electronic devices
- Interface and guide ICT/FCT development with a contract manufacturer experience
- Experience in schematic capture and HDI board layout using Cadence, or equivalent
- Analog design expertise, including experience with switching power supplies, LED drive circuitry, and measurement of analog signals
- Circuit design experience with microcontrollers, firmware, and programmable logic
- Interested and able to travel internationally


Preferred Qualifications

- MS or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Computer Engineering with 3+ years’ industry experience
- Experience in designing or specifying electrical test interfaces for functionally testing electrical subassemblies
- Experience in circuit-level debug to the component level
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated understanding of quality metrics, process characterization and mapping, Product Quality / Reliability / Improvement techniques, LEAN Manufacturing, DFM/DFT, and Continuous Process Improvement
- Understand Design for Testability, Design for Manufacturability
- Experience in one of these languages: C/C++, Java or Python

  • Western Digital High Volume BackEnd Hard Disk Drive Manufacturing is an industry recognized leading process thanks to the high-level of automation and efficiency for maximized throughput.
  • The successful candidate will join the BE Manufacturing Code Development team to work with a team of highly qualified software and firmware architects and engineers to develop a common flexible and abstracted platform across both Enterprise and Client space.
  • The candidate will participate in the design and implementation of Host Application software as well as Manufacturing Firmware features using advanced development environment and tools based on C++ and Python / TCl / Perl scripts. This project exposes the team to Machine Learning, Secure Drive technology and a number of other advanced techniques.
  • The significant positive financial impact and improved factory efficiency will be a great reward.
  • The candidate should have good working knowledge of S/W / F/W Object Oriented Embedded programming and System Interlock design.
  • Knowledge of the SAFe Development process, specifically as a Product Owner or Scrum Master, and strong verbal / written communication / team player skills are advantages.
  • This position requires some experience in leading projects, develop requirements and drive project from development to deployment while working with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • 5+ years’ experience with embedded systems with focus high-quality Software and Firmware design and implementation with effective ability for problem solving
