You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
• Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
• Working in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments
• Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day
• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation
Key job responsibilities
• Decommissioning and processing of legacy hardware out of the data center facilities
• Relocating and moving of large enterprise equipment
• Creating/attaching labels and barcodes
• Updating progress through a web ticketing system
• Escalating to senior technicians and management as needed/requiredA day in the life
As a Data Center Technician professional, you have industry-leading technical abilities and demonstrate a breadth of knowledge while you:
• Take ownership of technical issues brought by their customer base, engaging other teams when needed to drive resolution
• Solve problems at their root and step back to understand the broader context
• Maintain service level agreements through the implementation of proactive issue detection and reportingYou will be required to work shift work that will include days/nights/weekends/holidays. Traveling within the regional work area is required. You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license to travel within the regional work area, as company transportation will not be provided.About the team

  • Thoroughly document design feedback both electrically and mechanically
  • Connector management, Crimping and wire harness building/routing/integration
  • Testing with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, electronic loads, signal generators, etc)
  • Collaborate and communicate with project stakeholders across program management, field support, customers, EHS, technical publications, service engineering, product design, etc.
  • Creation of documentation for others to follow. Both in manufacturing and in application engineering environments

  • Ability to travel to commissioning sites, deployments, and Giga factories 50% of the time
  • A hands-on scrappy, hands on, and a problem solver
  • Passion for renewables, microgrids, diesel generator replacement

  • Supporting special projects for PC, NPI, Pilot, or Process: WH layout and design, signage, labeling, rack installation, procurement, removal, and/or demo
  • Component validation and kitting for engineering build requests and programs and removal of obsolete material in accordance with part specific disposition instructions
  • Provided support for ALL Tesla team members by escalating any identified discrepancies or quality issues when trial parts are needed to be delivered, stored, changed, or removed
  • Being an agent of change: Responding to emails, answering questions, and an overall source of information relating to change
  • Will be placed in specific warehouse site as primary location; however, must be willing to work in all NPI Warehouse sites around Fremont, 901 Page, Deer Creek, 3000 Hanover, Hayward
