Your key responsibilities

To contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of tax services to the client,
Providing exceptional client service with responsibility for quality provided
Pro-active business development to help add value to existing clients and to develop opportunities to add value to new clients
High level management of the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical / business focused approach taken
Being responsible for, and reporting to, Directors and Partners on client account management, including complying with appropriate quality and risk management procedures and financial management
Help people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff
Involvement in the management of the team both in terms of strategy and operations and through managing junior staff development and assignments

Skills and attributes for success

Significant experience in Corporate Tax from practice or from an in-house tax background

Strong client relationship management skills
Negotiation skills, able to sustain opinion and exhibit strong stakeholder management
Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to add value to new and existing clients
Effective time management, ability to remain calm when under pressure to meet deadlines
Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral
Enthusiastic team player with ability to create and sustain effective teams
Experience of coaching and developing more junior staff
Ensure delivery of quality work and take day to day management of delivery team

To qualify for the role you must have

ACA/CA/ ATT/CTA / or Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training Course / Law qualification
Degree qualified
Experienced corporate tax practitioner
Experience in tax accounting/tax audit
Proven ability to read and interpret existing and new tax statute

You’ll be a member of the PayPal UK COO organisation supporting outsourcing governance and regulatory incident reporting programs. It will focus on ensuring regulatory compliance along with the development and implementation of strategies and relevant policies.

Essential Responsibilities:

Identify issues and recommend best practices for the administration of legal entities and subsidiaries.
Lead functional projects and programs that contribute to business or process improvements.
Analyze business trends to inform decision-making and enhance operational effectiveness.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the maintenance of accurate corporate records and documentation.

Expected Qualifications:

5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Key Responsibilities-

This position will play a key role in bridging effective management of the outsourcing framework and incident regulatory reporting requirements which enable PayPal to meet its obligations across regulated entities.

Responsibilities:

Support the maturing and implementation of the Outsourcing Framework and champion it’s adoption through effective communication with all levels within the organization
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the company to monitor intra-group and third-party outsourced service provider relationships, driving resolution and timely closure of non-performance issues against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Provide oversight and development of controls, polices and standard operating procedures, including understanding obligations and developing operational procedures for each jurisdiction that is within the scope of regulatory incident reporting
Monitor incident queues and triage related data to identify and assess potentially reportable incidents
Document incidents analysis, key risk indicators, and metrics to calculate risk on both incidents and outsourcing service delivery
Keep abreast of all regulatory changes impactingframework/obligations(new and evolving regulations) and internal policy changes
Support key stakeholders in PayPal entities receiving services and assist with the collation and reporting of any data, queries, or remediation efforts relating to the services provided
Undertake ad-hoc projects as assigned, such as framework and operational improvements, strengthening of internal controls, streamlining reports and processes

Basic Qualifications

4+ years in the financial industry or equivalent with proven experience in roles for outsourcing/incident management portfolios.
Experience with the UK and other global regulators.
Knowledge on FCA, EBA & CSSF requirements
High personal resilience a self-starter with energy and drive for results. A high degree of self-motivation is a given.
Degree level education.
Excellent English communication and written skills.
Experience in partnering with and counselling senior leadership, particularly in the context of a rapidly changing and growth-oriented environment.
Strong problem solving, operational process and analytical skills.
High energy and creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the desire to work in a fast growth and changing environment
Ability to work within a matrix environment and cross functionally with commercial, operations and technology functions
Strong project management skills and change management experience
