As an Ireland-based platform engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a platform that provides the foundation for Enterprise architecture and solutions. You will be responsible for building and managing a high-level platform system that ensures the highest performance for the end user experience. You will be tasked with developing automation solutions for things such as install/uninstall, configure, patch updates and others. Additionally, you will be assisting with the architecture, design and implementation of platform solutions. At Expoint, we are looking for a qualified platform engineer to join our team. Your responsibilities will include developing, managing and operating platform services, including those related to automation, patching, and configuration management. You will be working closely with the development and operations teams in order to ensure the highest performance for our customers. In this role, you will be involved in the design of critical platform components such as programming languages, operating systems, and monitoring and alerting solutions. You should have a strong understanding of software engineering principles, coding standards and best practices. Additionally, a solid knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and UNIX scripting fundamentals is essential. As a platform engineer, you will be a key player in the organization, which means collaboration will be required. Your people skills must be up to date as you will need to interact with a variety of teams and stakeholders.
