As a Tax Assistant Manager, you will be part of this story and will have responsibility for advising our high profile clients as they navigate the sea of international tax change, all the while building your profile as a trusted business advisor.

You’ll be given the opportunity to be a core member of our team, meeting with high profile clients to understand and help shape their agenda. You will be at the forefront of managing both the impact of global tax law change, and also how tax is delivered as a service offering to clients, supported by cutting edge analytics, automation and robotics.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Leading internal teams and owning client relationships.

  • Prepare and review corporation tax computations and returns for financial services clients, ensuring compliance with Irish and international tax legislation.
  • Conduct technical research and draft memos on complex tax issues such as interest deductibility, group relief, and controlled foreign company (CFC) rules.
  • Support tax audit and Revenue interventions, including preparing documentation, responding to queries, and representing clients in discussions with tax authorities.
  • Assist in the delivery of tax advisory projects, including restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border tax planning.
  • Coordinate tax accounting and reporting processes, including deferred tax calculations and tax disclosures for financial statements.
  • Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on client portfolios, providing proactive updates and strategic advice.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Professional qualification in ACA (or equivalent), law and/or Tax; or
  • AITI qualified or equivalent qualification in a Commonwealth country (such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, UK).
  • 1-2 years relevant post qualification tax experience.
  • Experience working in industry or practice as a tax professional
  • Strong technical skills and be keen to develop further.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Financial Services experience or a genuine interest in the financial services sector.
  • Big 4 Tax experience.

Experience and attributes for success

Experience:

  • 7-10+ years' experience working in a penetration testing role across various sectors
  • Experience in ‘Big 4’ or similar consultancy experience in the Irish market
  • Track record in supporting the delivery of a broad range of cyber security projects
  • Government, Utilities, Manufacturing, Financial Services and Pharma experience desirable
  • Leadership experience with a strong focus on mentorship
  • Onsite and Offsite Penetration Testing
  • OSCP qualification and red team experience
  • OT pen testing experience
  • Driven cyber security professional with a passion for information security
  • Strong analytical skills to solve technical issues and flexibility in handling multiple issues at once

Attributes:

  • Excellent communication and project management skills (verbal and written),
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills in addition to strong attention to detail,
  • Experience in drafting proposals, bids and tender responses,
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and online research tools,

To qualify for the role you must have

  • MSc degree in information security, computer science, computer engineering, information systems, cloud computing or related field of study
  • OSCP certified

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • CISSP or CISM (an advantage)
  • GPEN, GWAPT, GXPN, CEH, EC-Council LPT, CompTIA PenTest+ (desirable)
