A Manufacturing Engineer plays a vital role in the Canadian tech industry, giving direct support to those who design and construct products. This professional's ability to apply knowledge of Industrial and Manufacturing engineering processes and techniques to the design, development, and manufacture of systems, materials, processes, and products will be a valuable asset to any organization. The Manufacturing Engineer takes a leadership role in problem-solving, creating and developing tools, processes, methods and systems to improve the production performance of specified products. They understand the importance of safety and quality standards and work to ensure the organization meets or exceeds expectations. They efficiently manage the components and materials of each project to maximize cost efficiency. Aside from utilizing knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for managing the development of manuals, test procedures and training materials for a comprehensive operation. They will oversee the assembly of parts and systems, run tests on products and components, and monitor post-execution operations. The Manufacturing Engineer should have knowledge of economical resource management, cost benefit analysis, manufacturing process capabilities and cost estimation. They will collaborate with other engineering, Production and Quality teams, with an ability to communicate effectively and provide feedback.
