To qualify for the role you must have:

• An undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, and/or an undergraduate or graduate degree
• Successfully passed the Canadian CFE and / or possess a Canadian CA designation, or possess a reciprocal CA designation recognized with the CICA
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as an auditor for a public accounting firm, or particular business/industry experience to meet special needs
• Excellent project management skills, advanced written and verbal communication skills

• This role involves interaction with clients operating nationally and globally. Bilingualism in both French and English is therefore a requirement of this role.

Your Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant, a motivated individual who can contribute to our project work and business development efforts in line with our vision, mission, and values. As a Senior Consultant, you will:

• Assist in implementation of complex projects, ensuring excellence in secondary data collection as well as stakeholder engagement, and delivering evidence-based outputs on time and to the satisfaction of our clients;
• Provide intellectual and methodological support in EU projects and proposals;
• Support the organisation and coordination of day-to-day implementation of specific contracts, and where relevant guiding the team of more junior colleagues towards achieving project results while ensuring the quality of the desk research, analysis, surveys, interviews, stakeholder and community management, and reporting;

Your Profile

You have:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
• At least 2 years of experience working with the EU clients, both involved in consulting/research role.

• The ability to work effectively within large multidisciplinary and multicultural teams involving partners, experts, and internal teams.
• Proficiency in writing and communicating with clients, partners, experts, and colleagues in excellent English.

Your key responsibilities as a Tax Manager will be reviewing, managing, and coordinating tax compliance and provision work for clients. You will participate in the recommendation and implementation of tax strategies that are aligned with clients' business objectives, correspond with legal counsel and tax authorities on client issues, participate in reorganization planning, research compliance and planning issues, and review individual, corporate and trust tax returns. The challenge of working in the FAAS team is very different from being part of the Audit or Assurance practice or even an industry role, although all of your experience to date will be relevant. Firstly, all assignments are project-based, and the primary skill-set required is one of problem solving not problem identification. In addition, you will very often find yourself working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, alongside EY professionals from the Transaction Support, Advisory, Valuations or Tax team. And at manager level and above, you will be responsible for an account portfolio, developing further opportunities to support our clients.
