Product Configuration Management Engineer

We are looking for product configuration Engineer to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact our products BOM and systems configuration integrity.

You will play a key role in the planning, and execution on all aspects of configuration management for each phase of the development lifecycle.

Other duties will include guiding cross-functional teams through the Engineering Change process.

Many of our products are designed to industry standards and customer specifications. These requirements are determined by reviewing the specifications, and it requires you to use critical thinking skills to determine proper configuration to the product.

Our group:

Our group is responsible for the creation and configuration management of all products’ BOM, this includes both SPI and NPI projects

Our products contain thousands of items from different disciplines- The group members incorporate items from multidisciplinary fields (Physics, Control, Electronics, Mechanics, Optics & SW) into advance technology product’s BOM.

What be you’ll doing?

  • Establish and maintain highly complex system BOM that insures product's performance and functionality.
  • Ensures that documentation (e.g., requirements, design, test, and acceptance documentation) for item, module or system is accurate and reflects their true configuration.
  • End to End responsibility for the BOM release process -Performs detailed engineering change management activities in the company’s PLM system.
  • Work closely in the early stages of product development with the project managers and multiple groups across the organization (Elec, Mech, Motion, Computing, SW, Operation, Manufacturing, Marketing & Support) In order to maximize platform modularity, configurability, commonality andserviceability/maintainability.
  • Participates in project team meetings, including formal design reviews.
  • Lead periodic NPI and SPI projects BOM master plan meetings.
  • Involvement and support key manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen events, value stream map events, safety improvements and labor efficiency improvements.
  • Performs advanced data analysis to identify master data errors and performs necessary actions to correct data error orinconsistencies. Thencreates or modifies Engineering systems or standards to prevent recurrence.
  • Keeps your manager and other stakeholders appraise of project BOM status and ongoing issues.

What should you have?

  • B.Sc. in an Engineering discipline
  • Min 5 years of experience with complex products- preferably configuration management engineer
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, field installation & support aspects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PLM & ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Engineering standards development.
  • Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication - Excellent English skills – speak, write, read.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to our inclusive culture
  • Resiliency and a passion for problem solving.

  • Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and PCB design for high-speed systems.

  • Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Cadence, Mentor, Altium) and simulation environments.

  • Knowledge of FPGA interfaces and hardware/software co-design principles.

  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Your Impact

  • Work closely with DevOps, SRE and platform engineering teams to orchestrate end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure and product capabilities across multiple services and environments.

  • Serve as the primary integration point between DevOps and development teams, ensuring smooth alignment on architecture, deployment models, CI/CD processes, reliability targets, and production readiness.

  • Partner with product management to translate high-level requirements into technical execution plans, define realistic timelines, and track cross-team commitments.

  • Maintain a system-level understanding of all moving parts: production change process, infra upgrades, migrations, capacity plans and rollout constraints.

  • Identify and flag technical dependencies early, particularly those affecting infrastructure, deployment flows, monitoring, and scaling requirements.

  • Drive and define change-management processes: release planning, rollout strategies, maintenance windows, gating criteria, risk assessments, observability readiness, and post-launch validations.

  • Coordinate sprint plans, milestones, and execution cycles across DevOps and development organizations, ensuring teams deliver aligned increments that fit into broader program roadmaps.

  • Provide regular communication to senior engineering leadership on execution status, blockers, architectural risks, and operational concerns.

  • Work hand-in-hand with technical leads/architects to understand deep technical topics such as Kubernetes upgrades, multi-region deployments, data-store migrations, networking changes, or infra cost optimizations.

Your Experience

  • 8+ years of engineering or technical program management experience, including 4+ years managing cross-functional infra/DevOps delivery programs at scale.

  • Deep, hands-on understanding of SaaS DevOps domains: release orchestration, multi-region deployments, environment promotion flows, maintenance windows, incident lifecycle, change-management, and production readiness standards.

  • Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies, sprint/iteration planning, and running large cross-team delivery cycles across infra and development organizations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with engineering teams to translate product and architectural requirements into detailed technical execution plans, functional specifications, test/validation criteria, and deployment strategies.

  • Comfortable presenting program status, architecture risks, and operational considerations to SVP/VP-level leaders; able to convert complex technical execution into clear, actionable communication.

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems)

  • Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence.
