As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will be a part of the larger, global Network Engineering and Infrastructure Team. Our goal is to ensure that we have applications and services running smoothly 24/7. Your role is critical in ensuring that the applications and services run efficiently in the cloud environment. You’ll be working closely with other engineers, disaster recovery, and cloud architects to ensure that there is cloud resiliency and fault tolerance in place. You will be responsible for supporting the cloud computing solutions based on AWS with tasks ranging from implementing hybrid solutions and supporting automation efforts to designing and integrating cloud solutions. You must familiarize yourself with how the platform works and its core services, such as EC2, Cloudwatch, S3, SES, and ELB, and be able to design solutions to improve the end-user experience. You’ll need to be able to spot potential issues or possible areas of improvement, and devise solutions to improve the efficiency of the platform. We’re looking for someone with strong communication and customer relationship skills who is passionate about technology, and who has experience in cloud computing, scripting, and automation.
