Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Java.
- Experience in Object-Oriented Design and programming concepts.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical related field.
- Experience in building cloud (SaaS) applications.
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: C#, Objective C, Python, JavaScript.
- Demonstrated object-oriented, database design, and SQL skills. Excellent problem solving skills.
- Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
About the job
As a Back End Engineer, you’ll work closely with product managers and other engineers to improve Waze’s internal tools which support our large scale Ads ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Mentor and guide other team members and colleagues.
- Analyze functional requirements and creation of software design.
- Own software components, maintain and lead improvement opportunities.
