ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime in our manufacturing facilities located in San Jose and Fremont, CA, United States. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support and maintain Ion Beam Etch and Deposition equipment in a high-volume wafer manufacturing cleanroom environment.
  • Demonstrate strong hands-on troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and computer systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and process capability.
  • Provide technical training to team members and perform equipment audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules and procedures.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance procedures.
  • Participate in equipment installation, set-up, and calibration processes.
  • Assist in developing and updating maintenance procedures and documentation.
  • Monitor equipment performance metrics and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to resolve equipment-related issues and source necessary parts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with cleanroom standards.

This position requires flexibility for 12-hour shifts, overtime, and weekend work to support our 24/7 manufacturing operations.

REQUIRED:

  • Technical degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
  • Strong hands-on skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including RF systems, vacuum technology, and computer hardware/software.
  • Proficient in reading schematics, using diagnostic tools, and working with control systems/PLCs.
  • Experienced in SPC, equipment audits, and training maintenance personnel.
  • Effective communicator and team player, with flexibility for shift work and overtime.
  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and practices.
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems, PLCs, and automation equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

As Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining specific tools on a wafer manufacturing production line in a class 100 cleanroom environment.   • Document routine preventive maintenance on PM checklists, record data if applicable and maintain completed checklist/history in tool logbook.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Technical degree in Electronics, Military experience, Automotive Technology, or Semiconductor Industries experience (5 Years of experience),

  • Intermediate level of electronics and high voltage schematic comprehension, assembly drawings, and troubleshooting.

  • Familiar with HMI PC software structure.
  • Understanding of failure mechanisms, ability to isolate determine root cause and high quality repairs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Process Technicians function as the primary interface between the manufacturing, maintenance, and process and equipment engineering teams to ensure the consistent production of high-quality wafers.
  • Process Technicians are responsible for monitoring the performance of tooling used in the manufacturing process and for helping to identify processing issues affecting output or product quality.
  • Process Technicians are also responsible for the cycle time within their area and must resolve any WIP that is delayed or on hold.
  • In addition, Process Technicians are often directly involved in the resolution of tooling or processing issues and may recommend, document and implement changes at the direction of the appropriate engineering group.

Process Technicians also play a vital role in the training and certification of lower-level operators.

PREFFERED

  • Knowledge and familiarity of semiconductor wafer manufacturing processes (thin film deposition, ion mill, reactive ion etch, electroplating, photolithography, metrology, sputter etch, sputter deposition) and logistics
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control systems, applications and rules

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Process Technicians function as the primary interface between the manufacturing, maintenance, and process and equipment engineering teams to ensure the consistent production of high-quality wafers.
  • Process Technicians are responsible for monitoring the performance of tooling used in the manufacturing process and for helping to identify processing issues affecting output or product quality.
  • Process Technicians are also responsible for the cycle time within their area and must resolve any WIP that is delayed or on hold.
  • In addition, Process Technicians are often directly involved in the resolution of tooling or processing issues and may recommend, document and implement changes at the direction of the appropriate engineering group.

Process Technicians also play a vital role in the training and certification of lower-level operators.

PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge and familiarity of semiconductor wafer manufacturing processes (thin film deposition, ion mill, reactive ion etch, electroplating, photolithography, metrology, sputter etch, sputter deposition) and logistics
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control systems, applications and rules
  • Knowledge of MESA or similar Shop floor Control Systems
  • Able to extract, summarize, interpret and present process data
  • Able to apply process data to decision making
  • Knowledge and familiarity of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing Principles and DMAIC processes
  • Proficiency or experience with SQL or similar query languages
  • Proficiency or experience with VBA, Excel, and PowerPoint

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime in our manufacturing facilities located in San Jose and Fremont, CA, United States. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support and maintain Ion Beam Etch and Deposition equipment in a high-volume wafer manufacturing cleanroom environment.
  • Demonstrate strong hands-on troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and computer systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and process capability.
  • Provide technical training to team members and perform equipment audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules and procedures.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance procedures.
  • Participate in equipment installation, set-up, and calibration processes.
  • Assist in developing and updating maintenance procedures and documentation.
  • Monitor equipment performance metrics and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to resolve equipment-related issues and source necessary parts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with cleanroom standards.

REQUIRED:

  • Technical degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
  • Strong hands-on skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including RF systems, vacuum technology, and computer hardware/software.
  • Proficient in reading schematics, using diagnostic tools, and working with control systems/PLCs.
  • Experienced in SPC, equipment audits, and training maintenance personnel.
  • Effective communicator and team player, with flexibility for shift work and overtime.
  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and practices.
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems, PLCs, and automation equipment.
