Job Description

As a University Relations Program Manager, you will partner with both hiring managers and our core university partners to identify, source, screen, and hire top talent. On-campus, you’ll be a brand ambassador for Western Digital, aligning the company with strategic partnerships to help us attract a diverse pipeline of talent. To the business, you will be a key partner, understanding hiring needs and identifying a strong slate of candidates for interviews. You will play a key role in promoting our world-class Western Digital brand, developing strong partnerships, proactively building a pipeline of new college grads and interns for existing and future needs of the organization, and delivering our new college grad and internship programs.

University & Campus Recruiting:

  • Develop and execute university hiring strategies across target campuses in alignment with workforce planning needs
  • Build strong partnerships with academic institutions, student organizations, and career services
  • Lead end-to-end campus hiring events, career fairs, info sessions, and internship interviews
  • Drive brand presence on campus through employer branding initiatives, alumni engagement, and social media campaigns
  • Partner with hiring managers to define internship and graduate hiring needs, timelines, and job requirements
  • Implement innovative sourcing techniques to attract top early career talent

Program Management - Early Career Talent:

  • Design and manage structured early career programs (internships, graduate trainee programs, final-year projects)
  • Develop rotation schedules, onboarding frameworks, learning and development plans, mentorship, and evaluation processes
  • Track program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements to improve retention and performance outcomes
  • Create engagement strategies and events that foster community, inclusion, and belonging for early career cohorts
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders across HR, L&D, business functions, and senior leadership
Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years in university recruiting, campus programs, or early talent development
  • Previous experience in University/Campus Recruiting preferred

SKILLS:

  • Thrives in a fast-paced ambiguous environment and has the ability to manage changing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrates strong project management skills with exceptional organization and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Description

You will be part of our Global Network Services team responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our regional/local network infrastructure, ensuring high network performance/reliability, and delivering critical network services to meet business goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide support to plan, build, and manage complex Manufacturing/Office LAN/WAN/VPN and wireless infrastructure.
  • Implement changes to hardware and/or software that improve network performance, speed and connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot network issues including BGP, OSPF, VLAN, Spanning Tree, WAN, network hardware/software, wireless etc.
  • Align with Global Network Services team to incorporate company standards and preferred practices into local site network builds.
  • Ensure local/regional network infrastructure is properly monitored. Act as point of contact and Subject Matter Expert to respond to network incidents/service requests according to Service Level Agreements.
  • Partner with Security or Cyber Defense team to fix detected vulnerabilities with systems and users to maintain high security standard.
  • Interact/communicate with vendors, service providers, peers, stakeholders, and business units for effective integration/operations of services and systems.
  • Plan and participate in IT projects and Maintenance Window activities.
  • Maintain close collaboration with other global IT functional teams.
Qualifications

PREFERRED:

  • Minimum 4 - 6 years professional experience in Network Routing, Switching, Wireless, and Network Security.
  • Good understanding of network design practices from small office to large campus.
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge in networking technologies/solutions including BGP, OSPF, HA, VLAN, Spanning Tree, EtherChannel, QoS, WAN, etc.
  • Good understanding of data center networking technologies and solutions including Cisco/Arista switches, WAN routers, structured cabling etc.
  • Good understanding of network utility services including TFTP, FTP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SNMP, SYSLOG, etc.
  • Proactive and resourceful.
  • Familiar with network scanning/analysis procedures and toolsets for network readiness assessments.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Technical certification such as CCNA or equivalent is preferred.

SKILLS

  • Good communication skills on technical and non-technical concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish professional working relationships with varying levels of both business and technical personnel.
  • Excellent documentation skills that can clearly articulate technical designs, issues and constraints, procedures, and network assessments.
  • Good project management, analytical and problem determination/resolution skills.
