As the Global Equipment Compounding & Dimensioning Subject Matter Expert (SME) Leader, you will set the strategic direction and lead a team responsible for specifying, implementing, and improving equipment for weighing, mixing, and dimensioning processes in our global elastomer production facilities. You will cultivate a collaborative environment, align with cross-functional engineering teams, and drive our company’s vision for innovation and standardization in equipment processes.

• Inspire and guide the Global Compounding & Dimensioning Equipment SME team (up to 3 FTE) towards achieving organizational goals. Develop a high-performing team through mentoring and professional development.
• Lead engineering, management, plant operations and global team members while working with vendors to develop engineering specifications for new equipment or required improvements on existing.
• Shape and communicate a clear vision for advancing equipment processes, leading efforts to standardize and harmonize production equipment and associated documentation globally.
• Proactively map out and oversee team workload and project timelines to drive efficient execution of objectives, with a focus on resource optimization for new projects, corrective action/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives, and equipment development.
• Foster a culture of collaboration across various departments by working closely with Process Engineering and production teams. Facilitate the identification of innovative solutions to enhance existing systems and solve design challenges.
• Keep up to date on new and future equipment standards and trends in the market and identify value-added improvement which may be beneficial.
• Work independently, and with vendors, to understand root cause of failures, propose design or component changes, and implement and validate equipment modifications.
• Take the lead in systematic problem-solving activities if the manufacturing plants need support.
• Coordinate and/or execute all necessary GMP related validations and/or process engineering evaluations as needed for manufacturing equipment.
• Guide vendors through clear communication and task assignments. Maintain oversight on deliverables ensuring completion of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Installation/Operational Qualifications (IOQ), and more.
• Champion the establishment of equipment standards aligning with global best practices to achieve unparalleled quality, efficiency, cost reduction, and safety.
• Project Management: Take the lead on equipment project management from the URS issue to PQ by applying current project managements practices including the needed GMP conform documentation.
• Research and analyze data such as vendor design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to follow equipment related corporate goals.
• Ensure all equipment aligns with the latest Safety Regulations.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial preferred).

• Over 8 years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments, specifically within equipment management and improvement.

• Proven track record of successful equipment project management, from specification to qualification.
• Strong engineering and trouble shooting skills.
• Proven working experience in project management.

In this role, you will be able to be a self-directed operator with good leadership skills and the ability to assist the Production Shift supervisor in the daily schedulingperations and evaluation of production staff assigned to their work grouup. Coordinates and/or assists in all materials, production, quality and documetation of raw materials and finished parts with Supervisors, Material Handlers, and Production Engineering. Assists the Supervisor in training, coaching and performance evaluations. Assissts as needed in the Supervisor's absence.

• Assist and directs the activities and resources of daily production assigned to the work group including; interviewing, work assignments, break scheduling and relief, and shipping and packing label generation.
• Maintains a clean, orderly and safe workstation and environment at all times.
• Establishes team objectives and measurements for production, calculates and compares production results with daily production reports, and enter results in ERP system.
• Coordinates with other departments to ensure variety of production necessities such as; documentation, labeling, packaging, part quality, equipment control(s) are set and functioning correctly, and line changes are completed for changes in production and/or customer specifications.
• Coordinates with the other Production Leads and Shift Supervisor on all production and personnel matters as needed to meet work objectives.
• Lead continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste within the production environment.

• Ensure continual flow of product through the module from the mold press thru the trim press.
• Operate a mold press to produce molded panels of product following site SOI’s and work instructions.
• Operate a manual / automatic trim press as needed following site SOI’s and work instructions.
• Process trimmed product through washing and drying process per site SOI’s and work instructions.
• Process product through any required special treatments such as sort, silicone, chlorination, etc.
• As needed, set up pack scales for weighing and packing of finished product and prepare carton labels for boxing and shipping.
• Alert the Area Supervisor to conditions that may prevent meeting production and quality expectations.
• Accurately maintain all required documentation and paperwork to ensure product traceability.
• Inspect molded/trimmed work to ensure quality product is being produced.
• Move materials into and out of the area as required.

The Tool Room Lead is responsible for coordinating daily tool room activities to support production priorities, tool maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role serves as the key link between production staff, tooling engineers, and the Tooling Engineering Manager. The Tool Room Lead ensures that tool room work is scheduled for best flow, jobs are prioritized correctly, and communication remains clear and consistent.

• Production & Scheduling
• Work closely with production staff to establish daily and weekly tooling priorities.
• Schedule tool room work for optimal flow, aligning with production floor needs and priorities.
• Adjust schedules based on urgent or changing production requirements.
• Provide clear daily job assignments and direction to mold makers.
• Communication & Reporting
• Issue daily shop updates on job status, progress, and issues to the Tooling Engineers and Tooling Engineering Manager.
• Act as the primary communication point between the Mold Makers, Production staff, and Tooling engineers.
• Escalate critical or urgent tooling issues promptly to the Tooling Engineering Manager.
• Provide both positive and constructive feedback on Mold makers and Tooling Engineers to the Tooling Engineering Manager, supporting staff development and accountability.

In this role, you will control flow of products and materials to and from manufacturing areas. Ship, receive, label, and properly store products and materials. Load and unload trucks. Operate industrial forklifts in a safe and professional manner. Transport supplies, tooling and equipment as required. Maintain high accuracy level on paperwork and electronic transactions / records.

• • Production Supply and Warehousing
    • Supply manufacturing areas with pallets, components, bags, boxes, lining material, and other materials as requested.
    • Ensure timely and neat stock placement so products remain damage-free.
    • Rotate stock to maintain FEFO (first expired, first out) and/or FIFO (first in, first out).
    • Maintain work areas following 6S guidelines and complete required cleaning tasks.
    • Execute cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Shipping and Receiving
    • Pull, label, and/or band, wrap, or otherwise prepare product for shipment to 3PL or for customer shipments.
    • Load product, materials, or equipment on freight carriers.
    • Unload inbound materials, equipment, and supplies.
    • Verify accuracy of paperwork, label, and put away materials in warehouse bins.
    • Follow all applicable procedures if damage is discovered during loading or unloading.
  • Utility
    • Assemble and supply cardboard totes to the production floor.
    • Assemble and supply scrap totes to manufacturing areas. Collect and process scrap for trash or recycle as needed.
    • Remove trash from production floor and empty dumpsters in the trash compactor.
    • Remove scrapped cardboard from production floor, load and empty cardboard compactor.
    • Load the scrap trailer(s).
    • Perform necessary paperwork and electronic transactions / records applicable to actions performed. Maintain high level of accuracy
