Working closely with the regional and global Digital and Transformation team, the role of the Manufacturing Network and Digital support site team is having responsibility for developing and efficiently operating all aspects of the site's infrastructure and End User devices in line with corporate guidelines and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide support for IT systems and End-Users in the facility, including, but not limited to: Shop Floor Systems (SFS), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise resource planning (ERP), Virtual and Physical servers, LAN/WAN equipment, desktop computers and laptops, communication, and collaboration systems
  • Problem determination and resolution through existing procedures but also identifying new ways to resolve unexpected problems
  • Subject Matter Expert for local site support on all major and more complex Digital and Transformation technologies
  • Driving and coordinating IT security for local site with support from corporate Subject Matter Expert
  • Collaborate with the regional and global Digital and Transformation organization to maintain the service catalogue and Service level agreements in alignment with global / regional and site-specific IT services
  • Participate in local, regional, and global Digital and Transformation projects, coordinate roll-out of same on local site level and leading local Digital and Transformation projects
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs/ Utilize and leverage Service Management tools for tracking of workloads

Job Summary

The Tool Room Lead is responsible for coordinating daily tool room activities to support production priorities, tool maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role serves as the key link between production staff, tooling engineers, and the Tooling Engineering Manager. The Tool Room Lead ensures that tool room work is scheduled for best flow, jobs are prioritized correctly, and communication remains clear and consistent.

Production & Scheduling

Work closely with production staff to establish daily and weekly tooling priorities.

Schedule tool room work for optimal flow, aligning with production floor needs and priorities.

Adjust schedules based on urgent or changing production requirements.

Provide clear daily job assignments and direction to mold makers.

Communication & Reporting

Issue daily shop updates on job status, progress, and issues to the Tooling Engineers and Tooling Engineering Manager.

Act as the primary communication point between the Mold Makers, Production staff, and Tooling engineers.

Escalate critical or urgent tooling issues promptly to the Tooling Engineering Manager.

Provide both positive and constructive feedback on Mold makers and Tooling Engineers to the Tooling Engineering Manager, supporting staff development and accountability.

Work jointly with Tooling Engineers and the Tooling Engineering Manager on steel evaluations, mold health reviews, and repair planning.

Support implementation of standardized work instructions and best practices across the tool room.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tool room environment.

Lead, coach, and provide feedback to Mold Makers.

Ensure all repair and maintenance work is documented accurately and completed to high quality standards.

Coordinate with Tooling Engineers on spare parts requirements and availability.

Education

Management and implementation of facility projects and support in holistic building management.Perform a wide variety of mechanical, as well as pneumatic maintenance activities and some basic electrical activities on various pieces of equipment to maintain safe operations of equipment while maintaining production goals and quality standards. Other responsibilities include sourcing parts for obsolete parts and ordering them, documenting all the maintenance activities performed, PM's, installation, and validations of equipment. Will support and help other groups like Process Engineering, QA, and Facilities in resolving problems, improvements, investigations etc. In this role you will service/maintain several machines, while learning the others in the department. Work from prints, sketches, sample parts, verbal or written instructions. Interpret drawings, select material plan, and layout work in proper operational sequence. Maintain and setup vision systems during production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify problems by reading schematics/prints, where available, and make necessary repairs on the equipment or system to ensure safe operation of the machine or system.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust or repair ancillary equipment like blow overs, bulb pullers, and heaters.
  • Changeovers and setups on Vision Systems, make minor adjustments as required.
  • Perform ink mixing as well as disposing of procedure as per set Safety/QS guidelines for printing machines.
  • Perform necessary oil changes on machine gear boxes and dispose of used oil per established procedure.
  • Rebuild/retrofit machine or machine components as per specifications.
  • Perform installation, replacement or decommissioning of equipment.
  • Perform validations as necessary for equipment.
  • Work with training department to train new mechanics on machine repair, setup and related plant procedures.
  • Complete PM's on or before the due date and communicate to proper authority of job completion.
  • Source obsolete parts for equipment and make them stock item.
  • Identify and locate parts in the stock room through MP2 or other such system.
  • Participate in various company run programs like Continuous Improvement, Safety initiatives, audits, investigations etc.
  • Support projects and improvement initiatives from engineering, process, QA, Safety and Operations groups.
  • Document performed tasks for the day into the maintenance log before the end of each shift.
  • Safeguard all corporate or plant confidential information.
  • Use good housekeeping practices to maintain safe, (safe is always first) clean, orderly work area.
  • Upgrade technical skills by various educational workshops, on-site or off-site trainings supported by WEST.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science required
Work Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of IT support and / or IT operations, ideally in regulatory manufacturing environment required
