  • Ensure all production records/documents are adequately filled by the business support team, as specified within existing procedure. Support audit activities by retrieving filled records/documents, as and when required by Quality department.
  • Lead the business support team to provide administrative supports to Production departments in managing production data and reports, include updating production trackers, reports, KPI boards, etc.
  • Manage the inventory of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for production departments, ensuring there are sufficient supplies to production personnel.
  • Responsible for the management of production gowns and staff lockers for production departments.
  • Drive for implementation of Training Within Industry (TWI) program within production departments, following the established roadmap.
  • Collaborate with Global project team of TWI implementation, continually assess and review site TWI program, ensuring it is aligned with the Global direction, under the standardization approach.
  • Conduct Train-the-Trainer session for TWI - Job Instruction (JI) method to newly assigned Production Training Leads or Production Trainers.
  • Responsible for performance management of Production Training Leads, including provide coaching/mentoring, conduct performance appraisals, and establish development plans.

Job Summary

In this role you will be responsible for process engineering tasks in the West Jurong facility. The role focuses on optimizing performance through continuous improvement programs primarily targeting safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This role is pivotal in driving sophisticated engineering solutions, advancing process capabilities, and aligning operations with strategic business goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in process areas, leveraging deep technical expertise to resolve complex process challenges.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, mentoring junior engineers and providing guidance on advanced technical issues.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions addressing non-standard tasks and complex technical queries.
  • Translating customer needs into actionable strategies, ensuring responsiveness and alignment with business objectives. This can be part of tech transfers or other customer-initiated projects.
  • Drive cost management initiatives, optimizing resource allocation within projects.
  • Pioneer improvements by identifying less obvious solutions and addressing underlying causes in complex processes.
  • Tailor communication effectively to diverse audiences, elucidating complex situations and technical details.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and consensus-building, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous development.
  • Establish and maintain influential networks within and across departments to support business operations.
  • Adhere to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), advocating for compliance across operations. Ranging from HSE, over quality and other company policies.
  • Actively contribute to Lean Sigma activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives towards set targets.
  • Other duties as assigned by superior.
Education
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with over 5 years' experience in a relevant field, or
  • Diploma in Engineering with over 8 years' practical experience in a Process Engineering/Manufacturing setting.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient in pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturing environments, with a strong grasp of industry regulations and standards.
  • Extensive experience with lean manufacturing methodologies and Six Sigma principles. Possession of a Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with MS Project is advantageous.
  • English fluency, and familiarity with other regional languages such as Tamil or Chinese is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities (use of MiniTab, Excel, Power BI).
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across varied levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with an innate drive for results and solution-oriented approaches.
  • Sound project management proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong learning capacity
Physical Requirements
