• Design, build, and deploy Workday standard/advanced/matrix reports, dashboards, and schedules.

This role will be an integral part of our Sales Operations team, providing expertise in sales compensation administration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and IT ) to improve workflows, uphold data quality, and generate actionable insights that enhance business performance. You will lend critical analytical and technical support to the successful administration of sales compensation programs globally.

You will aggressively build relationships, champion open dialogue, and provide creative solutions to issues in real-time.

This is a hybrid position based in our Bangalore office. General working hours for this role will be 2pm-11pm IST during the weekdays.

• Serve as the primary liaison for the Global Sales Team on Sales Variable Compensation Plans, ensuring clarity, timely communication, and resolution of compensation-related inquiries.
• Administer global sales compensation programs, including ICM system management, commission calculations, performance analytics, and enablement initiatives such as training and communications.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Legal, Analytics, and Deal Strategy & Operations teams to ensure data accuracy and drive continuous process improvements across sales operations.
• Design and manage sales compensation dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to provide actionable insights for leadership, support strategic decisions, and drive revenue growth.
• Support annual sales planning cycle by developing and analyzing commission models to align incentive structures with company objectives, ensure budget accuracy, and drive data-informed decision-making.

• Perform credit checks for new customer accounts and update credit for existing customers based on positive/negative information.
• Monitor, review, follow-up and resolve issues related to overdue account receivables and Contact customers with past due invoices, exercising considerable judgment, professionalism and tact.

• Indirect tax compliance, including data collection, preparation of monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly or annual VAT calculations and returns of the EMEA and APAC entities, ensuring on-time filing and payment/refund
• Perform tax related accounting entries, VAT account reconciliations, cash tracking
• Collaborate closely with other members of the global tax team and greater finance organization to ensure completeness of tax analyses
• Support indirect tax audits and statutory financial audits
• Participate in process innovation in global indirect tax compliance operations

• Indirect tax experience in a Big 4 and/or a multinational company
• Solid EMEA and APAC VAT knowledge
• Knowledge and experience in Indian direct and indirect tax compliance is a plus
• Proven track record of balancing multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholder expectations across multiple jurisdictions
• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Tax, Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, Tax Advisor or similar qualification

The Role:

• Tax Compliance and Reporting - lead and manage tax compliance for India, including corporate income tax, GST, TDS, etc.; support the existing APAC tax operations team in managing tax compliance across APAC jurisdictions; oversee tax provision and reporting processes for APAC and global indirect tax; partner with the Finance org and external advisors to resolve compliance and reporting matters; build and oversee a team to support key tax compliance process for EMEA VAT, US indirect tax, and global transfer pricing
• Tax Advisory and Planning - support business expansion and new initiatives from a tax perspective, including M&A activities, new product launches, and restructuring projects; provide regional tax expertise on corporate structure optimization, effective tax rates, and incentives; advise on cross-border transactions, intercompany charges, and ensure compliance with regional transfer pricing regulations
• Risk Management and Audit Defense - proactively manage tax risks in the region by maintaining thorough documentation and staying up to date with changing tax laws and regulations; represent the company during tax audits and work collaboratively with tax authorities as necessary; ensure compliance with BEPS (Base Erosion and Profit Shifting) requirements, including economic substance initiatives and Pillar 2 global tax initiatives
• Business Partnering - collaborate closely with finance, legal, and business teams to monitor and support Unity's regional operations; act as a trusted partner by providing clear communication and practical advice on tax matters including contract reviews; develop strong relationships with external tax advisors, government agencies, and other stakeholders
• Tax Process Improvement - identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of tax workflows; support the deployment and integration of tax technology solutions for indirect and direct tax automation, partnering with IT when necessary

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field; CPA, Chartered Accountant (CA), or an advanced degree in taxation is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant tax experience, including in-house corporate tax in a multinational environment and/or Big 4 advisory firms with domestic Indian tax compliance expertise and exposure to APAC tax jurisdictions and 3+ years managing a team in-house and/or at Big 4 advisory firms.
• Strong expertise in regional corporate tax, transfer pricing, and indirect tax laws (familiarity with countries like China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, India, Taiwan, and others in APAC - knowledge of EMEA VAT and US indirect tax is a plus)
• Robust knowledge of international tax principles, including OECD guidelines, BEPS, and US GAAP, including ASC 740 tax reporting.
• Proven experience managing tax audits and disputes across multiple jurisdictions.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Advanced communication and stakeholder management abilities; able to distill complex tax topics for non-tax professionals.
• Knowledge or experience in working within the gaming, technology, or software-as-a-service (SaaS) industries.
• Familiarity with APAC regional tax incentives and grants for technology-driven businesses.
• Experience with tax technology tools (e.g, Alteryx, Onesource, Power Automate) is a plus.
