The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level consulting services for clients in order to find the best available loan for their particular situation. This innovative role requires exceptional knowledge of the markets, regulations, and products to ensure a smooth and successful home loan origination experience for the client. As the Retail Mortgage Loan Originator, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers and serve as a knowledgeable resource after they have been referred to Truist. You will be responsible for assessing the customer's needs and then becoming closely involved in the loan process including providing updates, preparing initial disclosures, and submitting preliminary loan files. Using your keen analytical and problem solving skills, you will identify and address customer concerns including paperwork requirements, property evaluation, and loan compliance. In addition, you will be responsible for staying up to date on all current industry information, attending and participating in training both in person and online, and networking with referral sources. The ability to effectively build and maintain strong relationships is a must. Furthermore, you must have the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment to meet customer’s needs. We are looking for an individual with strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and sales skills. Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field and previous experience in the mortgage industry. Strong technical acumen and an understanding of the residential mortgage loan origination process are essential.
