Underwriting:leads the entire commercial underwriting process both internally and sometimes externally with prospects and clients. Underwrites, structures, and documents all prospect and client transactions. Provides independent, in-depth analysis of financial statements, projections and business plans; identifies and mitigates key risks. Recommends and models appropriate loan structures and while maintaining expertise around the bank’s suite of ancillary products, including legal documentation impact and negotiation. Is accountable for the risk evaluation and associated regulatory compliance requirements.
