Description:

As Vice President of Strategic Sourcing at Anda, you’ll shape the sourcing strategy for one of the most dynamic pharmaceutical distribution businesses. Reporting directly to the SVP General Manager of Anda and serving on the Executive Leadership Team, you will lead enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives across all product categories and supplier relationships.

In this high-impact role, you’ll drive strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement transformation to align with commercial priorities and enterprise objectives. You will champion supplier partnerships, risk mitigation, and value creation—ensuring resilience, innovation, and long-term growth across the distribution network.

How you’ll spend your day

In this role, you’ll lead high-impact initiatives that shape Anda’s sourcing strategy, strengthen supplier partnerships, and drive operational excellence across the enterprise. Your day will include:

  • Leading enterprise-wide sourcing strategies across all product categories and spend areas.
  • Building and managing strategic supplier partnerships to deliver innovation, risk mitigation, and long-term value.
  • Driving supplier performance and risk management, including scorecards, audits, and continuity planning.
  • Championing procurement transformation through digital tools, process automation, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams—Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, and Finance—to align sourcing priorities with business objectives.
  • Developing and mentoring a high-performing team while representing sourcing in executive forums and strategic planning sessions.
Your experience and qualifications

To thrive in this role, you bring a proven track record of strategic sourcing leadership, deep procurement expertise, and the ability to influence at the highest levels of the organization:

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Expertise in developing enterprise-wide sourcing strategies and negotiating high-impact contracts.
  • Experience sourcing finished goods (as opposed to raw materials or indirect spend), with a strong track record of managing supplier relationships that support commercial distribution and business growth.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier segmentation, category strategy, and performance management.
  • Advanced financial and analytical skills, including cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to align sourcing priorities with commercial, regulatory, and operational objectives.
  • Proven success in building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience driving procurement transformation and adapting to changing market dynamics.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically.

How you'll spend your day

  • Leads cross-functional teams tasked with solving business issues which require operational and/or technical solution providing subject matter insight with regards to operational process, policies/regulatory changes, and/or system functionality
  • Analyzes, documents and maps operational processes through workflows. Capture pertinent process step details so that opportunities for process improvements, benchmarks, key performance indicators, current metrics, and target objectives can be defined
  • Utilizes Six Sigma / DMAIC and related techniques to define improvement opportunities where deemed appropriate
  • Contributes in strategic meetings to review, evaluate, and/or propose new business opportunities through the implementation/enhancement of operational and/or technical solutions, which are intended to improve customer relationships and operating efficiencies while reducing costs
  • Creates and drives improvement plans to completion
  • Develops, maintains, and provides process expertise in order to deliver knowledge transfer to cross-functional operational and technical areas for skill development
  • Carries out responsibilities according to the organization’s policies and procedures, best practices, as well as in accordance with state, federal, and local laws, including applicable safety rules and regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management
Your experience and qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in an accredited program in Engineering, IT or a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience writing requirements for IT projects is a must

Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

  • Conducting thorough analyses to identify areas for improvement, develop actionable solutions, and guide strategic decisions
  • Ability to collect and analyze requirements to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Process reengineering lifecycle methodologies and documentation

  • Project Management skills highly desired

Travel Requirements:
