What You’ll Do
  • Develop and maintain a partnership with and serve as a key advisor on EHS matters to Tesla Energy business operations leaders and stakeholders, associates, EHS members, and contracting partners
  • Serve as an Electrical Safety technical expert to identify critical risks, including legal compliance requirements and responsibilities in all phases of product deployment, operation, and service, including specific support in the safe design and engineering, installation and construction, commissioning and operations, and preventative maintenance and repair of energy products
  • Lead the development, implementation, and execution of short and long-term plans for Tesla's Electrical Safety program for Utility and Commercial Operations and Maintenance
  • Identify operational gaps and creative solution facilitation, including identifying key stakeholders and driving innovative EHS solutions, electrical and otherwise, with cross-functional teams
  • Respond to and investigate EHS events and support the learning from events by determining causes and preventative actions with management and business teams
  • Drive the implementation of Human & Organizational Performance principles within operations and electrical incident investigations
  • Conduct proactive and zero-blame, learning-focused field observations to verify that work in progress meets EHS goals and document findings; review improvement opportunities with supervisors, operations, EHS and other stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive Environment, Health, and Safety experience in organizations at scale and an educational degree in an EHS-related field, engineering, or other related fields of study
  • Extensive experience working directly within the electric power generation, transmission, storage, or distribution industries. Detailed knowledge of the functionality of lithium-ion battery storage is preferred
  • Detailed knowledge and practical, hands-on experience in developing and deploying safety programs under the requirements of OSHA
  • In-depth knowledge of Electrical Standards (OSHA, NFPA 70-E, IEEE, NEC) and working knowledge and demonstrated working experience on or around energized equipment in an industrial setting
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to positively interact with the full range of senior business management and regulators, frontline workers and 3rd party clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills, great attention to detail, problem-solving skills, multi-task, prioritizing, and working in a highly fast-paced environment, and a demonstrated ability to perform duties independently and remotely with minimal supervision.

We are seeking a full-time Account Manager in the West Region for our Residential Channel sales team. As a sales leader, you’ll accelerate the sales growth of Powerwall & Powerwall+ with our existing B2B value added resellers focused on growing energy storage in the residential market space. In addition, you’ll also identify and onboard new contractors, particularly in underserved markets throughout the Southwest (Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico). This is an exciting career opportunity in a fast-paced environment that requires wearing several hats. Past experience managing B2B customer relationships in the field is a must. Besides a rock-solid work ethic and a strong team-oriented personality, leaders on our team display excellent communication skills (internal and external) creativity, passion, and a desire to break new ground in a constantly shifting landscape. The sales superstar that we’re looking for will work remotely and is based out of the western region close to a major airport. Travel is an important element of the role and will be required to grow and evolve the business relationships of our B2B clients.

What You’ll Do
  • Support a number of B2B accounts that sell and install Powerwall & Powerwall+

  • Identify opportunities to drive additional volume of products

What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years relevant work experience in tech sales; solar and storage experience a plus
  • Demonstrated track record of building pipeline and winning business
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – proven ability to scale new products and services
  • Past experience building networks and relationships at all levels of an organization (internal & external)
  • Excellent organization, communication, and documentation skills
