What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years’ experience of production and opertions leadership with LEAN Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of production systems and processes
  • Experience managing teams of people in a production environment as well as hiring and developing new team members in a production environment
  • Experience with broad variety of measurement and inspection techniques
  • Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (safety, quality, delivery & costs)

What to Expect
The Construction Project Manager will work closely with members of the Project Management, Infrastructure Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Project Controls and Procurement departments from install through start of production. This role will supervise all on-site construction including scheduling of trade contractors, vendor tool installations, resolving day to day construction issues, performing day to day inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications while tracking project schedule and budget.

  • Successfully deliver, design build, and self-performed construction projects
  • Ensure on time, or ahead of time delivery of construction projects, enabling your teams to solve problems and prioritize execution
  • Promote a safe and quality driven culture, both project and companywide
  • Use efficient and aesthetic communication methods to escalate roadblocks or communicate successes as necessary, including the ability to clearly communicate risks
  • Employ a can-do attitude, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the project’s goals
  • Provide the best product for your respective project’s customer or end users, keeping projects moving forward and fixing concerns as they arise.
  • Track and understand all project costs at a fundamental level, challenging design revision, RFIs and change orders to ensure Tesla receives the best value
What You’ll Bring
  • Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience
  • Ideally 6 years minimum of experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills are a must
  • Advanced knowledge and proven delivery on Civil, Structural, and Architectural, Mechanical, electrical, life safety and controls scopes

  • In depth knowledge of electrical standards (NFPA79, National Electric code, UL508A) and safety standards (ANSI/RIA15.06, OSHA)
  • Advanced proficiency programming industrial equipment, safety PLCs (Allen Bradley& Siemens preferably), Human Machine Interface (HMI / GUI – Allen Bradley, Siemens & Ignition), field bus Networks (ethernet IP, ProfiNet, safety rated field bus networks) and ethernet communications between machine PLCs and database systems
