What You’ll Do What You’ll Bring
- Perform regular reserving studies including preparing the data, performing the analysis, communicating the results and documenting the end-to-end process
- Explore and implement novel reserving methodologies and models, utilizing data science and analytics
- Perform on-going and ad-hoc analysis and predictive modeling exercises on claims data, and reporting on key findings and recommendations
- Develop and implement various internal and external monitoring and reporting tools
- Assist in the maintenance of the various insurance data marts used for analysis and reporting
- Provide business requirements for changes, enhancements and new features for the claims management system
- Partner with various business stakeholders, including Claims, Finance, Product, Pricing, Underwriting, Data Science, IT, and insurance leadership
- ACAS/FCAS (or equivalent designation) with 5+ years of relevant experience in reserving and claims analytics
- Strong analytical and modelling skills, with extensive experience in SQL and Python, and the ability to learn new programming languages
- Extensive experience in reserving and claims analytics, with experience in general analytics, model development and model implementation
- Self-starter with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and get involved with projects in the larger insurance organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to a wide variety of audiences
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment, with strong first-principles problem-solving and project management skills
- Experience with “big data” and application development preferred
