Optimizing each and every automotive system is vital to our success, making driving electric vehicles accessible to a wider audienceAs an intern, you will be a vital part of our Electric Motor design and optimization group in the South EU region

Our internship is like no other, in that you will take on real responsibility from day one and there are really no limits to what you can achieveWe foster an environment in which anyone can take on projects and truly make a difference to our business success

• Understand in-depth and expand an SQL database holding detailed powertrain data
• Improve the MATLAB API employed to access the above SQL database
• Create, modify and extend UI tools (MATLAB Apps) employed by motor designers during their design/optimization efforts
• Create intuitive, modern-looking visualization graphs to present various metrics
• Develop and document new code in our Motor Design MATLAB suite
• Perform code-optimizations to allow for faster and resource-efficient simulations

• Studies in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (active student status throughout the internship period is a prerequisite)
• Strong interest in the technical field of software design
• Basic experience with Agile Software Development will be greatly appreciated
• Excellent communication skills: accurate, methodic, succinct, to the point
• Desire to learn new skills, design and communicate flowcharts before delving into coding
• Ability to work in a multinational and cultural environment
• Fluent in English
• Availability to work full hour work weeks on-site in Athens, Greece

We expect you to champion safety, efficiency, quality, and overall excellence in all of your actions and decisions. You may also be involved with business expansion, opening and managing new service centers as the business requires, working closely with the Area or Country Manager
• Financials: Service Managers are expected to understand our business, know their numbers and lead the center’s daily operations to achieve specific goals in quality, productivity, customer satisfaction and profitability
• Our Service Managers act in the best interest of Tesla by demonstrating sound judgment. You must have a passion for our mission, our people, and our customers. Technical acumen is required – you must develop a knowledge of all Tesla products, as well as Service systems, processes, and procedures. You will have to develop a deep understanding of the operations and challenges of your Service Center so that you can support and inspire your team in their day- to- day work. Attitude and approach is everything.

• Experience of working within the automotive industry is preferable, but not a must
• Proven background as an exceptional people leader

• Responsible for developing advanced MATLAB functions to model actuator performance
• Perform design optimization studies for humanoid actuators
• Process big data, select the most compelling candidates and visualize the results
• Develop solid understanding of electrical machine design and identify the impact of key design and operating parameters

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering (formally enrolled for the entire duration of the internship is a prerequisite)
• Good understanding of electric motors

Optimizing every aspect of automotive system design is vital to our success, making electric vehicles more efficient and accessible. As a System Design/Architecture Engineer, you will play a key role in our Electric Motor Design and Optimization group in the South EU region. You will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling software tools that enhance the efficiency of core engineering workflows. These tools will support the processing, comparison, and visualization of large-scale simulation and measurement data. Your work will also contribute to improving an SQL-based distributed-simulations framework, making it more efficient and scalable.

• Design, develop, and optimize software tools for data processing, visualization, and comparison in MATLAB, Python, SQL, or other programming languages.
• Work with big datasets, focusing on efficient data fetching, storage, and visualization.
• Enhance and optimize a distributed-simulations framework, improving scalability and performance.
• Develop and refine data-driven optimization workflows for electric motor design.
• Collaborate with motor designers, test engineers, and software developers to define requirements and develop high-performance engineering tools.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Ideally 1-2 years of experience in software development, data analysis, or a related area.
• Strong programming skills in MATLAB and/or Python.
• Experience with SQL databases and handling large datasets.
• Interest in software architecture, algorithm development, and optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills: precise, methodical, and to the point.
• Ability to work in a multinational, cross-functional team environment.
• Fluent in English.

• Pursuing a degree within a related field of engineering (preferably at last year of studies).
• Strong programming skills (Python a/o MATLAB).
• Strong mathematical and physics background.
• Fluency in English.
