What You’ll Do:
Work in close partnership with the Vice President, People Experience (Americas), the broader People Experience team and other leaders, to lead change, growth, transformation and to deliver highly effective HR strategies and services for North American and Latin American territories.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and staff to provide thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategies and execution.
Serves as a key liaison and trusted business partner on all HR initiatives, programs, and processes including, but not limited to strategic workforce planning, recruitment, career planning, performance management, rewards and recognition, employee relations, engagement, leadership, and organizational development.
Partners closely with Sony Music Group’s People Relations team and Sony Corporation of Americas Litigation and Employment Attorney to coach, support, mentor, and challenge managers in the application of HR policies and practices, providing advice and counsel on complex HR issues to minimize risk and financial exposure.
Partners with other Sony HR functional teams to champion HR initiatives and implement people strategies, polices and best practices effectively.
Supports stakeholders during the annual salary review, open enrollment, leave of absence and other business processes adhering to the business practices and critical deadlines.
Facilitates a culture of continuous learning, growth and development for our leaders and staff through the innovation, promotion, and coordination of developmental programs in partnership with Sony Music Group’s Learning & Development team. Also, tailors L&D solutions that address both individual and departmental needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Drive and support the development and delivery of cultural change plans and interventions. Partner with leaders to establishperformance/development/successionmanagement plans that align individual and team goals with organizational objectives.
Partners with Sony Music Group’s Office of Diversity Equity & Inclusion to manage programs, practices, and processes that make a strategic connection between diversity and inclusion practices and organizational success.
Partners with Sony’s Global Total Rewards team to ensure we offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, using both internal and external market data.
Participate or lead assigned People Experience projects; creating, managing, and executing various projects to standardize and strengthen the function and practice across the organization and in alignment with business needs.
Partners with Sony Corporation of America’s Compliance, Risk & Control departments to stay abreast with trending and ever-changing legislation and ensure employee base is compliant with required compliance training. Also ensures compliance with all local employment laws by continuously monitoring legislative updates, regulatory changes, and case law developments, providing timely guidance to leadership and staff.
Partners with Sony’s HR Service Delivery, Payroll & Benefits (Shared Services) teams to ensure proper support of our employee base. Submits and ensures the timely processing of transactions in alignment with payroll deadlines while ensuring HR data integrity; accurate and complete HRIS (Workday) employee records & reporting.

Who You Are:
Minimum 5 or more years of HR Business Partner or Generalist experience supporting leaders in a global company.
Bachelor’s Degree required
Professional HR Certification required
On-site presence required Monday – Thursday each week
Workday (HRIS) experience preferred
Extensive HR operational experience across the full lifecycle
Demonstrated business acumen to drive organizational and people-related strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior leaders and a range of stakeholders to drive organizational change
Experience in HR transformation, process changes and implementation
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, One Note, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive)
Must possess sound professional presence, having good sound judgment, thought leadership and high emotional intelligence
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong client-support orientation
Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully with people from a variety of background and cultures; proven ability to build trusted partnerships and maintain effective relationships with senior business leaders, managers, and peers
Proven project and process management skills; demonstrated track record of delivering high quality results; expertise in ability to design, lead and execute complex HR projects including experience facilitating change management initiatives, building & successfully implementing people and leadership development, as well as organizational development tools and processes
International Travel Required (30%)
Must be authorized to work in the United States
7.5-hour business workday but variations in work volume frequently require extended working hours for evening and late-night events

What You’ll Do:
Business Partner : Work in close partnership with the Vice President, People Experience (Americas) and other mid-level leaders, to lead change, growth, transformation and to deliver highly effective HR strategies and services for North American and Latin American territories. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and staff to provide strategic and tactical planning, direction, coaching and support; serve as a key liaison and trusted business partner on all HR initiatives, programs, andprocesses
Strategic and Operational Improvement : Identify and implement opportunities for strategic and operational improvement (i.e., automation, streamlining and best practices) as it pertains to systems, processes, adoption of new technologies, integration of new workflows, staffing models, and organization structures
Talent Acquisition : Support the full life cycle recruiting process by engaging diverse talent for key positions across our business functions and serving as a strategic partner and subject matter expert in attracting top talent. Implement best practices to ensure we are actively identifying and acquiring key talent and top performers in a competitive landscape. Working closely with business leaders; oversee creation of efficient and high-quality sourcing/recruiting planning and processes; network external relationships to build an active talent pipeline
Learning & Development : Facilitate a culture of continuous learning, growth and development for our leaders and staff through the promotion and logistics management of LinkedIn Learning, Women in Leadership, and other related developmental programs.
Diversity and Inclusion : Manage programs, practices, and processes that make a strategic connection between diversity and inclusion practices and organizational success; partner with other Sony divisions to align on D&I practices and initiatives
Compensation and Benefits : Assessment and use of research, data and analytics in order to ensure we are offering competitive compensation and benefits packages; partner with internal Compensation staff to identify appropriate compensation, using market analysis information; partner with benefits department to actively identify competitive benefit offerings
Employee Relations : Oversee and provide guidance on employee relations issues by consulting with ER partners and escalating issues as appropriate
Compliance & SOX Audits: Partner with Sony’s Compliance, Risk & Control departments to stay abreast with trending and ever-changing legislation and ensure employee base is compliant with required compliance training. Additionally, ensure internal processes are aligned with SOX requirements in preparation to respond to SOX audits.
HR Service Delivery, Payroll & Benefits (Shared Services): Continuously partner with HR Service Delivery, Payroll & Benefits to ensure proper support of our employee base.
HRIS Reporting & Data Integrity: Assists in the day-to-day administration and support of Workday including overseeing all HR transactions to ensure timely processing, alignment with payroll and, accurate and complete system records. This position is also responsible for maintaining employee files and overseeing the processing of all HR related information.
Who You Are:
5 or more years of successive HR experience in Talent Acquisition, HR Shared Services, Employee Relations, Organizational Structure & Design, HR Project Management and Performance Management.
Bachelor’s Degree required
Professional HR Certification preferred
Workday (HRIS) experience required
