Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and generate internal and external credit governance reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulatory and internal standards.
  • Develop detailed projections and impact analysis for credits by LOB and credit type, assessing their effect on the company’s financial position, specifically focusing on Free Cash Flow (FCF).
  • Oversee and track credit governance processes to ensure compliance with credit policies and guidelines, including mitigating any potential risks or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across finance, accounting, sales, and operations to provide actionable insights on credit impact and drive informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management and other stakeholders, providing a clear analysis of credit data and trends.
  • Lead the identification of trends, discrepancies, and potential risks within credit data to improve forecasting and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong background in credit management, finance, accounting, or a related field with at least 2-5 years of experience in credit management or financial reporting.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, or similar), with the ability to manipulate complex data sets and present findings clearly.
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts , particularly the impact of credit on Free Cash Flow (FCF), revenue forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Exceptional communication skills , with the ability to effectively collaborate with senior stakeholders, present data insights, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail , ensuring accuracy in reporting and analysis, and the ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a team , with a proactive approach to solving problems and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in creating financial reports for different business areas, including senior-level stakeholders and external auditors.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in business forecasting , with a focus on credit and financial planning.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems , with experience in working with large-scale data sets and systems.
  • Understanding of operational and financial impacts of credit policies , with a proven ability to identify and address inefficiencies or risks.
  • Experience in risk management , specifically related to credit governance and financial compliance.

As a member of the GFS in a global accounting role with a specific focus area of expertise, you will be expected to build expert knowledge as an accountant. The GFS GA Revenue Accounting COE focuses on the following revenue accounting methods / Product LOBs:

  • Ratable / Cloud & Maintenance
  • Point in time / Software & Services
  • Percentage of completion / Services

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing timely and accurate accounting data based on IFRS15 Group financial rules processed by the GFS accounting teams.
  • Verify and monitor correctness of revenue accounting relevant data and associated deliverables.
  • Prepare relevant data in quarterly and year-end reporting packages.
  • Ensure a high satisfaction level amongst service customers and maintaining excellent business relations with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain excellent relationships within GFS, and with CFR, LCA, Controllers and internal as well as external service providers or global functions.
  • Ensures that all SAP corporate changes are incorporated into the COE process.
  • Monitor the entity/entities meets full internal and external audit requirements including SOX for the COE process assigned to.
  • Support, within the assigned COE, the relationship with (tax) auditors to ensure adequate certification.
  • Support Projects covering the processes and entities under responsibility.
  • Contribute to process improvement ideas and/or initiatives.
  • Ensure process alignment and standardization across countries and regions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience / knowledge of IFRS15 specialism or similar accounting rules & principles is a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge about the Revenue Accounting & Reporting Tool (RAR) is similarly an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative team member in both virtual and non-virtual teams.
  • Eager to work in an international environment showing an appreciation of Diversity & Inclusion, how it’s applied to colleagues with diverse talents, skills, and attributes to enable SAP to become more successful.
  • Dynamic and innovative in problem identification, solution formulation and resolution.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified Accountant with suitable experience in finance & accounting, or special focus on Revenue Accounting.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Record-to-Report processes, or at least 3 years of finance experience in other areas.
  • Or a minimum of 2 years of practical accounting experience (accounting function in a corporate organization or audit firm).

• Technical Analysis: Research and prepare technical memorandums to address scenarios to support the rationale and accounting treatment for relevant topics (only for Senior).



• Qualified accountant with at least 4 to 6 years of experience in preparing and/ or auditing financial statements – Big Four experience is a plus.
• Deep professional experience including application of IFRS accounting.
• Able to articulate positions with excellent communication skills. • Assertive and able to work both independently and within a global team.
• Fluent in spoken and written English is a must (other languages being a plus).
• Excellent in MS Excel, knowledge of accounting-related functionalities in SAP ERP preferred.
• University degree with special topics in finance, preferably accounting and/or auditing (CPA / CA / ACCA a plus).
