As an SAP CX-DAI iXp Intern – Software/ML Engineer, you will play a key role in innovative and incubation projects centering around delivering applications based on AI/ML. You'll be part of our dynamic team, working on various projects, building solutions based on image processing, embedding models, Data enrichment processing and recommendation systems. The role will include evaluating various software and machine learning components (LLM), UI Stacks, ML Libraries etc, that fits our architecture. It will also entail developing ML models for ideation, optimizing current solution and presenting the findings to various stakeholders. Furthermore, you will be part of the team to work on various Data Integration initiatives needed for AI/ML training’s, catering to the needs of our different Line of Business.The project will involve performance optimization,MLOps, testing, and evaluation of these systems. To conclude, it will be an opportunity to learn, understand and work on end to end AI/ML lifecycle and deliver solution on Cloud Native platforms. In addition, the role entails development of AgenticAI workflows, Agents and AI Tools.

• : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or related field.
• Eligibility:Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages preferably Java, Python (working experience ), Go etc
• Proficiency in front end technologies

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

In this role you will become a member of the Technology and Engineering team. You will be engaging with existing SAP Sovereign Cloud engineering and operations experts across a globally distributed team of highly motivated engineers responsible for the design, development, deployment, upgrade and lifecycle management of the Sovereign Cloud Shared Management Services foundational platform and services.

You will inspire innovation, drive execution of disciplined and standardized processes and tools, and address mission-critical capability gaps and opportunities for maximized efficiency. You will help identify trade-offs in deployment plans and any key day-to-day operational decisions impacting infrastructure investments significantly. You will drive and manage backup and disaster recovery drills to ensure failure readiness.

You will help the team develop and improve our existing foundation and provisioning approach, create best practices, and innovate new options for the SMS. You need to ensure the team’s knowledge base is kept consistently up to date with native hyperscaler capabilities and modern infrastructure management tools. To do so, you will help to understand and document existing SAP Sovereign Cloud assets and processes. Starting from this status quo, you will design concepts for our infrastructure management on the global scale.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Very good understanding of infrastructure related topics

• Minimum 3 years of experience developing, managing, or deploying technical infrastructure at a global scale
• Thorough understanding of infrastructure firewalls, load balancers, storage, monitoring, security, IAM etc. and have experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution

• Working knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD tools and GIT is required
• Skills in security technologies e.g.CAs, mTLS, oAuth, SSO Proxy, IDP, LDAP, TLS, PKI, WAF is a plus
• Working knowledge of implementing and managing Kubernetes environments
• Experience with delivering products on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP is a plus
