RAN Chipset Interoperability Device Testing (IODT) SMEwho will be responsible for development of product requirements, feature requirements, systems and performance analysis, conduct deep-dive customer sessions, new technology introduction of virtualized networks. The RAN SME will analyze customer requirements, convert them into system requirements and capture detailed designs for the development team.

• Ability to aid in product and feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product & software releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in EE/CS; Advanced degree is beneficial

• Minimum of 8+ years of industry experience in wireless is required

• Strong knowledge in 5G and 4G air interface and call processing technologies and network architecture specifically focused on Radio Access Network

• Understands 5G concepts such as Hybrid Beamforming, Massive MIMO, New Waveforms, LTE-NR interworking & co-existence, 5G Numerologies etc.

• Wireless systems with emphasis on PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC and PDCP layers

• Testing tools such as XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, Channel Emulator

• Understanding of 3GPP systems: Core and RAN networks

• Understanding of HW as well as SW architecture

Preferred Qualifications

The position will be a key contributor for the 3GPP LTE and 5G RAN and Network Management products. The Sr. Engineer will be responsible for the System architecture and design with emphasis on Network Element OAM and OSS integration. Required Qualifications:

• Pursuing a master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or Network Engineering

• Understanding of 4G/5G protocol stack (RRC, PDCP, RLC, MAC, PHY layers) and signaling procedures

• Good knowledge of cellular network architecture (RAN, Core Network and EN-DC/NR-DC)

• Familiarity with 3GPP 5G NR Specifications
