Role Scope


This role encompasses architecture, design, implementation, and testing to ensure we build products right and release them with high quality. You will be working with a group of world-class engineers to build the breakthrough features our customers will love, adopt and use while keeping our trusted platform stable and scalable.
The successful candidate will have:

  • Deep and proven experience within the marketing technologies domain, with focus on areas like content management, classification and taxonomy, Customer Identity experiences
  • Track record of delivering transformative solutions across complex platform ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain APIs and services that is core to Salesforce's identity platform Trailblazer Identity, and leveraged by and website experiences on the Salesforce digital platform
  • Design, implement, test, and deliver scalable, extensible, maintainable and observable services
  • Operate effectively in an Agile and DevOps environment where engineers are expected to be able to design and execute the necessary work to ensure quality in their code as well as other engineers'
  • Work closely with a team of engineers, product managers, and architects to build new features our internal customers will adopt while keeping our trusted platform stable and scalable
  • Develop test strategies, design automation frameworks, write unit/functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation metrics

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services
  • Proficient in modern software architectural principles and patterns (Domain-driven design,REST, GraphQL etc)
  • Experience delivering distributed systems and high-scale microservices on AWS
  • Experience with serverless architecture (AWS components like Lambda , API Gateway, DynamoDB ,AppSync, OpenSearch, ElastiCache etc)
  • Experience developing front-end and back-end software, preferably including JavaScript or TypeScript and runtimes, including Node.js.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with authentication and authorization protocols/frameworks (OpenID Connect, OAuth, SAML etc.)
  • Experience working with authentication and authorization protocols/frameworks (OpenID Connect, OAuth, SAML etc.)
  • Experience in working with AI models and integration with LLM gateways
  • Experience in test-driven development and testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright, and other related test frameworks a plus).
  • Experience in Service orchestration using tools like Terraform (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Partner with teams to evaluate product roadmaps, technical specifications, and design mockups to identify potential unintended negative consequences. Co-develop capabilities to ensure partner/product teams’ incorporate known risks, mitigations, and customer needs and are prioritized and integrated into the roadmaps.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance the trustworthiness of our products and recommend ways to amplify responsible outcomes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Cultivate a culture of ‘moral muscle memory’ by coaching and teaching colleagues about responsible AI practices. Promote ethical use of AI among tech, product, design, and go-to-market teams.

  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Testing, Product Management, Accessibility, Inclusive Design, Technology, AI Research, Legal, Policy, and other teams to ensure responsible AI principles are embedded across all aspects of the business.

  • Serve as a representative of Salesforce’s Office of Ethical and Humane Use to internal and external stakeholders, including executives, employees, civil society groups, customers, and industry forums.

JobRequirements/Skills

  • Deep knowledge of responsible AI principles, ethical frameworks, potential harms, and unintended consequences. Proven experience integrating these considerations into the design, development, and delivery of technology products.

  • Experience working effectively with engineers, designers, user researchers, and product managers to drive responsible AI practices.

  • Familiarity with software engineering, product management, and product design, particularly in ethical and trusted AI.

  • Strong interest in AI, data ethics, data privacy, workforce automation, and other emerging technologies.
